Hi, my name is Martin, Martin CorMeum I'm 15, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really good with introductions, and I don't know how to write well, but I've tried my best to write for you, if your reading this, I've either failed and the world has ended, or this is made to the public and it's out there.

Well, it's out there now, and now the truth needs to come clean, there are things out there, things that make you wonder what else is real, the very strangest mysteries are usually alot less complex than first thought. This is not one of those exceptions, let's just say it's alot to take in, and that's why this book has been made, to shed some light on those water marks in the history books, well, it's time to start at the beginning, my beginning, this is my story of how I uncovered the supernatural truth of the world.

"Mom!, Mom!Mom!" I yelled frightened
"It's here again Mom!The monster is here" Hollering at the top of my lungs.

The light flickers on with a sudden jolt.
"Martin, why do you have to do this at 4 in the morning? You have school today." My Mom mumbles.

"Can't we just have one night where you don't see that imaginary monster?" My mom said.
"Just one night for once."

Mom just stared at me with a nonchalant look of disapproval, and I just sat there in silence.

"It feels so real though Mom, I'm telling you, it's not just a figment of my imagination, it's different." I said.

She then sighed and mumbled once more "Just one night with you Martin, one night where I get a whole night's rest, will you promise me that tomorrow you'll not wake me up in the middle of the night?"

"I'll try my best Mom, I'm sorry that I woke you up, tomorrow I won't say a peep." I said.

Mom gives me a tilted head with a smile "You sure about that? Alright, I'll take your word, but if this happens tomorrow, no more hot coco after the wake ups, got it?"

"Gotcha Mom, I love you." I said.

"I love you too sweetie, alright then, let's get you some coco to calm your nerves." Mom said.

We always did have coco after the "wake ups" as my mom put it, it always was good to know that my Mom was there for me, even when I give her a hard time with the wake ups. She's always been there for me when it happens, but never my Dad, I never did know what happened to him. Nor did Mom ever tell me, she always just said he was a brave and noble man, a true gentleman in every regard, a good man.

Then one day he just disappeared. As if by magic, all trace of him dissolved, all the records ever held of him was his dog tags, which told us he was in the military at some point. They were inscribed with the name Delvo CorMeum, but the rest was scratched off or rusted, other than that, he was just gone. I always wondered if the day would arrive that I would ever see him again, maybe one day I could get to know the man who was never in my life and actually bond with him, but who knows? Maybe that opportunity was never meant to be.

My Mom comes in with the hot coco, and sets it by my stand, and she sits at the foor of the bed with her mug, and sips it lightly.

"Martin, I want you to know something" my Mom said.

"Yeah Mom, what is it?" I said.

"I was thinking we move sometime soon, maybe go to Pennsylvania, my job offered me a very big promotion, and I don't think I can pass up the opportunity, we'll need the extra funds to help when you want to go to college." My Mom explained.

I just gave a sigh "Another move, another new start, soon you'll be too busy to do anything but work, and what if the monster shows up one night when your working?" I asked.

She unusually smiled "Then you'll have to fight it off with all your strength, you can take it on, you got that from your father's side, all the strength and the heart to prove it."

"Thanks Mom, but I don't know how to handle it when I do see it, it just stares at me, it even walks towards me, then it just disappears before you flip the switch." I said.

"We'll schedule another appointment after school tomorrow with your therapist, they'll see if they can find a solution for this. They've probably handled alot worse than just seeing something." Mom said.
"I don't want to go to Ms. Dula, she doesn't get it, she just takes what I say and flip it into something else. Plus, didn't she only just get her license?" I said.

"Martin, the only way they can ever learn and get experience is through process, and you have to realize that she must do simple that, process the situations and find a solution." Mom said.

"Now your starting to sound like her without the squeaky voice." I said.

Mom started a chuckle and simple went in a higher pitch "We'll figure out what's wrong very very soon, I know of it." She said.

We both had a good laugh.

"Alright Martin, it's time to try and get some sleep for tomorrow, you have school and I don't want you to be late because of the wake ups again." Mom said.

"Alright Mom, I'll try and get some sleep." Martin said.

I didn't sleep again that night. It takes alot out of you to see something when your asleep, and when I stay up it never comes back, it's alright though, I always make coffee shortly after and stay awake all night long, I would rather not take the chance to see it again.

I played on my xbox with the volume turned down, nothing like some video games to relieve some stress, it's hard to play sometimes but it really gets you focused.

It was starting to go on 4am, time to get ready for school. I headed towards the bathroom and began to brush my teeth. The bathroom was very small, only enough room for just me to fit in. I turn on the cold water. I do not know why, but I just enjoy cold water on my toothpaste, I know I'm a weirdo, but I like it.

As I started to brush my teeth, I seen my mouth full of foam and went quietly " I'm a monster." Then I felt a headache. I looked away from the mirror and felt my head start to get dizzy, and I took another glance on the mirror.

It was there.
The monster was there. In the darkness of the bathroom mirror, watching me.

It spoke in a slow drawn out low grumble. "Mmaarrttiinn."

I felt my heart drop into my stomach.
Why was it here? How did it speak? How did I see it without being asleep?
I ran into our main entrance and started running to my mom's room, and then I realized, she didn't want to be woken up, what was I going to do?

I race back to my bedroom and grabbed my baseball bat that I never used. I never got into sports, I just got it to make my room look better, but now it had a use.

I had the bat reeled back to get it with a slugger and I waited for a long minute.

Nothing. No noise, no shadow from the soon rising autumn sun, just nothing. As if there was not a thing out of place.

This was much different than the other times. The wake ups were never long after I had been awake, and I never heard the monster say anything either. Whatever was going on, it wasn't normal.

Well, no time to wait, it's 5:30am, gotta go to the bus stop and go to school, one of the safest places from that awful thing.
