━━ REAGAN sat quietly on her bed staring at the white, silky, jumpsuit hanging on her closet door. thoughts sprinting in her mind about everything.
thoughts about the text she received from ross 2 weeks ago, thoughts about the interview that went up approximately 7 hours ago, and thoughts about the release party.
reagan didn't know what to do. if she went there were risk, but there was a lot of good in it too. she knew there was going to be a form of alcohol there, but some of her friends were going and she didn't want to let them down.
looking down at her 3 year sobriety chip sitting on her palm brought back painful memories. there plenty of secrets hidden in that one little coin, but she kept them all to herself. they were her secrets and only hers.
she flinched back into reality with the vibration of her phone. it was amy, her publicist. she needed to know if reagan was going or not so she could rsv her.
just as she was about to hit the send button with a text that read "no." her dad messaged her.

she immediately went back to amy's contact and deleted the message. the world is going to pitty her, and that's the last thing she wanted. reagan didn't want the pitty or the 'i'm sorry sorrys' she wanted to be strong, and get through this herself. and her friends new that.
she knew they would watch her, make sure she was okay and didn't try to do anything, but they wouldn't pitty her. they would act like they normally do, they wouldn't try and change themselves around her. sure there's an "are you okay?" or "how are you?" thrown in there but not your normal pitty.
so she replied with yes, thinking what's the worst that could happen?
