New friends

Esmeralda's POV

We get into the car, I quickly started it, turning on the air. The sun came out which made it hotter. Sighing in relief, we look at each other then laugh. It was something we'd always do, it started when we were ten. We never knew why, but we'd look at each other at times and bust out in laughter.

Catching my breath I take a sip of my smoothie. Connie and I decided to buy smoothies instead of eating out. We'd just got finished shopping for things from the mall, and we spent more than we intended. I'd gotten some things for my house, but some other things i couldn't find and decided to order them online instead. Now we were on our way to the grocery store.

As I drove, con turned on the radio. She'd browsed the stations before staying on the r&b station. I nod, 'Good choice', I thought. She'd turned the volume low to were we could still hear the music as we spoke. To each other. "So con," I smiled looking at her. "How's work going for you?" I asked. She turned in her seat to where she was comfortably facing me a little. "Well honestly, I'm getting tired of it. Like I like what I do now but I don't love it, you know." She shrugged then continued. "And they're starting to play with my money and I don't like when people play with my bag essy, so I might have to find a new job at this point." She shook her head. What con said had given me an idea. "Well, how would you feel, if I told you." I began, pausing I turned the corner before continuing. "How would you feel if I asked you to model for me." I glanced at her to see her face, she looked at me surprised. I laughed. "Really es?" She asked, I nodded. "Yes Connie, you are beautiful, you have an amazing glow and and amazing body. And honey that face is stunning. Exactly what I need". I said meaning every word.

Connie could be insecure at times and talked down about herself at times too. Luckily I was there to remind her how beautiful and sexy she was. "Goodness, essy, that would mean the world to me." I glanced at her again. "Well then, I'll talk to my people over at headquarters, and have them interview you, for a contract here in Miami, that cool with you?" I was grinning from ear to ear. I loved doing things for people, especially people I love and care for. It definitely does me good seeing them happy, and asking as they're happy, I'm happy. "You are literally the best friend anyone could ever ask for. I love you so much es. I truly do appreciate you and thank you for this. I swear if you weren't driving I'd jump on you and hug you to death. But I'll wait." She smiled happily, now dancing in her seat.

A while later we'd pulled into the parking lot of the grocery store. Parking in a spot not to far from the door, we beging to head inside. Grabbing a shopping cart each on our way in. As soon as we entered the marked we'd parted ways.

I was strolling own the isle, with my cart that was half full. I needed to stock up as much as possible. I'd turning into the snack isle where I found Connie talking to someone. It looked like they were friends from the pleasant conversation seemed to be having. Just as I was making my way over to her, she looked up seeing me over her friends shoulder. She waved her hand, calling me over. Her friend turned around facing me, not to my surprise, she was very pretty.

I stand next to Connie waitng to be introduced. "Essy this is my friend and co-worker Loren, and Loren this is my best friend Esmeralda but I call her essy for short." We shook hands smiling. "Nice to meet you Loren." I greet her kindly. "Nice to meet you as well Esmeralda. I've heard nothing but good about you from connie. You are very beautiful." She smiled. I liked her, she was nice. Wow, thank you so much . You are stunning if I do say so myself." I returned the compliment, it was true. She was absolutely beautiful everything from her head to her toes look amazing.

I turned to con, who had been grabbing snacks tossing them into her cart. "Are you ready to go yet?" I asked grabbing myself some snacks as well tossing them in my cart. "Yeah now I am." Me and Loren laughed. "Are you guys busy after this? I though we could hang out at my place, I know we just met but any friend of Connie's is a friend of mine, and I could use some company right now." She asked her hands clasped to get her, hoping we'd say yes. Con agreed before looking at me and asking "you in?" I nodded. "yeah definitely I could use some company as well". We all laughed. "Great, well Connie here already has my address so just call me to let me know when you guys are on the way," we replied with a okay and see you soon as we parted ways into separate check outs, Connie right behind me.

When the cashier was done scaning my items, I paid for my groceries while they were put in my cart. Once I was done, Connie paid for her items a well. Exiting the market we made our way to my car unlocking it with my keys. I closed it after we'd put our bags in the trunk as con return the carts. Seconds later she got in the car. We decided we'd drop off our groceries before heading to Loren's place.
