Best friends

I wake up to the sound of my alarm ringing, I reach to turn it off. Still laying down I yawn and stretch my body. Laying there for a few minutes before getting out of bed. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I head to my bathroom. I undress completely before turning on the shower, making sure the it's on my desired temperature before stepping in.

A few minutes later, I'd washed my body and hair, rinsing my self completely before stepping out. I grab my towel and wrap it around my body, then grab a smaller one for my hair, before heading to my room, I made sure to brush my teeth and exfoliate my face, I smile as I touch it loving how smooth it felt.

I step into my bedroom, drying my hair the the towel. My phone began to ring, so I rushed to it and answered without looking at the caller id. "Hello?" I greeted the person on the other line. "Hey essy!" One of my best friends greeted me over the line. Oh! Hey connie." I smiled hearing her voice. I'd missed her so much.

We became friends when I was six and we'd been close ever since. When I turned seventeen, Connie and her family moved here to Miami. I was devastated when I found out they were leaving. I though I'd never hear from her again but we'd stayed in contact over the years. She was another reason I'd moved here too.though she didn't know I was here yet I decided to tell her.

,"Hey hunny bun. How are you! I miss you so much essy." She sounded well. I smiled again. "I miss you too  con, I'm good how are you?" I asked curious about her well being. "I'm okay, just working hard. I miss you essy I wish we could hang out." She sighed. "Well," I paused. "We actually can if you want." I said hoping she'd catch on. "How? That's not possible, I mean you're all the way in-, wait, you're in miami?!??" She yelled over the phone almost blow my ear drum. "Yes I am, I just moved in yesterday." I tell her the news. "Oh my goodness, seriously?!, I can't believe it." She went on rambling about what we could do together. I laughed, she was so excited. "Well, how about this." I began. "I'm can pick you up and we can run some errands together if you aren't busy." I proposed hoping she could join me. "That's perfect! I'll get ready and send you the address, ok?" I nod remembering she couldn't see me, "okay that's cool I'll be there soon, see you in a few." I said ending the call. I was so happy to see her, I really couldn't wait. It's been a while since I'd seen her. Sure we had each others Instagram but she never posted much. Tossing my phone down, i began to get dressed.

After i was fully dressed,  I did my hair, deciding to look natural today, I put in water and conditioner to help define my curls. Once finished I threw on some accessories and found a purse to match my outfit. Tossing all my belongings that I'd need for my errands I closed my purse before taking one final look in the mirror. I nodded at myself in approval, I looked good.

Smiling at my reflection I turned from the mirror. Grabbing my phone and charger tossing them in my purse as well before zipping it closed.

Making sure I was ready to leave, I took one final look around to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything. I exit my room and head downstairs to the kitchen. Looking at the clock on the wall it read eleven twenty-three.  I grabbed my keys off of the counter. As I head to the door and out of the house, I pull out my phone so shoot Connie a quick text.

'Hey. I'm on my way, don't eat anything, we'll eat out, see you soon💜'

I get in the car and buckled up. My phone pinged, seeing that she replied with a okay. I start my car and pull out of my driveway and onto the road heading to Connie's place.

Soon I'd pulled up to Connie's house, it looked beautiful.  I'd sent her a message letting her know I was outside. A few seconds later I'd seen her coming out of the front door, practically running down the stairs and walk way.  Laughing at her excitement, I got out of my car and ran to meet her halfway, stepping on the side walk. My ankle buckled a little, causing me to stumble before I thankfully regained my footing. Looking up to see if shed seen me, luckily she didn't she was looking in her purse. I regained my posture, although my ankle hurt a little, I still made it to her.

When we made it to each other, we hugged for a while."oh my goodness essy look at you!" She said squeezing me a little. I laughed lightly, "look at me? Look at you! You look amazing connie". She giggled "Thank you! You do too babe." We pulled way both smiling like crazy and began walking to the car. It was amazing to be reunited with my best friend again, we told each other everything, she was basically another sister to me. 

"Wow look at this outfit. I see you miss sexy.'" I teased her, she really did look sexy. Anything she wore looked fabulous on her, absolutely amazing.

She laughed "baby, look at yourself, looking like a meal. Got ya titties sitting pretty and all. I love the tattoo girl." I laughed as we got into the car. Closing the door I buckle my seat belt and started the car, Connie did the same.

"So where we headed?" She asked as she looking the mirror to apply some lip gloss. "Well, first I need to go shopping for some things for my house and then I need to get some groceries because my fridge is emp tee." I stuck my finger out to her. She seen it and gave me some lip gloss to apply on my lips. Using my mirror I put it on neatly before going into my glove compartment to grab a napkin. I wipe my finger off before wiping the access from my mouth. "Okay well after we do that can we go to the mall, I want to get some of things from Victoria Secret." She asked looking at me. I nodded, "yeah we'll go before we go grocery shopping, that way my ice cream won't melt."

"Alright." Was all she said before turning on the radio as I pulled off.
