"well i don't know for sure yet, i have to talk to my parents" i said as we turned down Ridge-way Avenue. sirens and flashing lights a big ambulance flew down my street. we followed it.

"Woaa! what do you think's happening?" she asked. i shrugged and realized it stopped at my house. "THAT'S MY HOUSE." i shouted as she came to an abrupt stop.

i jumped out of the car and raced to the house. "move!" i shouted. a man, about 5'10 stopped me. he had shaggy brown hair and beautiful green eyes "ma'am you can't go in there its a crime scene"

He said holding me back. i could barely hear him. crime scene? what was he talking about? "this is my house. that's my family!" i shouted as i squirmed out of his arms and made my way inside.

i stopped in the door way. blood was everywhere. the first body i saw was dad. there was blood on the wall behind his chair him still sitting there his eyes open his news paper in his lap.

"dad" i whispered. tears forming in my eyes. i ran throughout the house. the next thing i saw was my mother on the floor of the kitchen blood on the walls and the pull of blood around her head.

"ma-mom." i stuttered in a low whisper tears now streaming down my face i couldn't stop them, or hold them back. who could do something so vial..so..so cruel to the kindest people in this neighborhood.

it's horrible. they're my parents how..how am i suppose to survive? where will me and Anthony go? wait..he was off today..he was sick.

i dashed upstairs in hopes that my baby brother was still alive. that some how the killer didn't bother him. that the killer left him alone.

my worst nightmare was coming true. everyone i loved - gone. i had no-one. my baby brother . his eyes closed. still in his bed. not moving. cold. pale as a ghost. blood all over his pillow. and in his bed.

i was officially alone. no-one to turn too. suddenly a hand was on my shoulder. "Ms. we need to ask you a few questions." the same tall man from not minutes before.

tears still falling from my eyes. make-up running down my face. i slowly walked down stairs. me and the guy. he walked me to the ambulance. he gave me a blanket and something warm to drink.

i was a wreck. i can't handle something like this. "What's your name?" he asked. "Kassey. Kassey Wright" i said still looking at the ground. "Who did this to my family?" i asked looking up for a split second. bad question. i thought to myself.

"we don't know." he said "they covered their tracks. and didn't leave any evidence." he replied. i sighed. not what i wanted to hear. "you have to move." he said. "where?" i asked concerned as to where they would send me. i have no family. my dads side hates us. and my mom was an only child my grandparents on both side died two years ago.

"your god parents. you have a choice to live with your god father Marc here in Seattle. or your god mother Aaliah in Chicago." he finished talking."Chicago" i replied there was no way i could stay here.

"ok. we'll contact Aaliah and let her know you'll be arriving tomorrow afternoon." he said back to me. walking away. i walked into the house to gather my stuff.

----------

"KASSEY WRIGHT!" someone yelled i woke up quickly. "yes?!" i shouted back. a skinny lady about 5'6 walked in she had long brown hair and brown eyes.

"your ride is here to take you to the airport. gather your things sweetie." she said handing me my plane ticket and name of the cab driver for when i get to Chicago.

i got dressed into a pair of black yoga pants, uggs, and plain white tee. i grabbed all my bags and walked outside to the car that was waiting.

"Kassey?" the driver asked. i nodded and got into the backseat. "i think you'll like chicago" the guy driving said. i smiled a weak smile and popped in my head phones.

it took about 30 minutes to get to the airport but we finally got there. "i hope you like it there" he said handing me all my bags. "thanks" i replied as i walked inside the airport.

"Flight 309 Chicago now boarding" the lady on the loud speaker said . i rolled all my bags to the docking room.

"Ticket" the lady at the podium said. i handed her my ticket, "enjoy your flight" she said handing it back to me.

i walked through the doors that led to the plane. making my way onto the plane i found seat 20B coach and took my seat. waiting to find out who i was sitting next to i put my headphones back into my ears.

"is this seat taken?" i barely heard through my music i took out my left ear-bud. "no." i replied to the boy about 17 around 6'0 with shaggy blonde hair and blue eyes he smiled and took his seat.

sticking out his hand for me to shake "hi. i'm Tyson" he said . i shook his hand "Kassey." i replied with a smirk.

"so. what's taking you to Chicago?" he asked. suddenly everything ran through my brain again. i felt a tear fall. "oh. fuck. i'm sorry. i didn't mean to upset you! you don't have to tell me" he replied wiping away the tears.

"no.. it's not your fault. my parents and little brother got killed. i'm going to live with my god mother Aaliah and her son" i replied half smiling wiping away the rest of tears.

"are you related to her?" he asked i shook my head no and he smiled. "good. cause i'm the son." he said. "OH. you're Tyson. i guess i should have figured.." i started. "i should have figured you were the girl my mom told me to watch over on the plane." he said smiling uncontrollably..

that whole plane ride i got to know about Tyson. he was so sweet, funny, smart, and adorable. the plane finally landed. "well. lets get you home" he said with a smile. "yeah" i replied. home. that doesn't sound right. my home is with my mom dad and brother. but they're not here. this is just a place im staying.

we found the guy who was taking us back to Aaliah and Tyson's house. it was only about a 15 minute drive. their house was HUGE. like fancy huge.

the drive way was long and curvy. "whoa!" i said looking out the window. "your house is nice!" i said looking over at him. "i know" he replied.
