From the outside, the Carter household seemed perfect.
And it was. A father who was a highly respected doctor, and a mother, a famous lawyer; the family was known for their hard work.
This unquestionably showed in their more than ideal children. Three beautiful, well-behaved, intelligent children who excelled in their studies.
The oldest being Peter, a handsome young man studying at Yale to follow in his father's footsteps.
The middle child, Scarlett, was known for her amazing athletic abilities and had earned herself a tennis scholarship for the University of Southern California.
And last, the youngest of the trio, Sydney Carter. Just like her older siblings, you'd find her in the library looking over her study notes for the billionth time that day.
Sydney looked like the stereotypical popular girl. The girl you imagine to have an infinite number of friends, the one who shows up to every party, and most definitely the girl who could snap her fingers and have any guy in the school.
But, unfortunately for her, Sydney's life was nowhere near that amazing.
Never had Sydney experienced things like sleepovers, birthday parties, or even the infamous wild parties that were thrown every Saturday night, right down the road from her.
All this changed on a Thursday morning, when Sydney Carter was late to the bus stop and missed her bus.
Luckily for her, Noah Lee appeared out of nowhere and became her hero.
