I fix myself from being a broken pile of mess and sit upright. I look across the room and spot the keys to the chains. This is a routine, I've done this many, many, many times.
I dig into my pocket and take out my phone.
"Rodrik, can you come to my place and do the usual?" I utter.
"Sure man, coming asap," he responds.
Rodrik is a simple guy, only one willing to be my partner at work. As long as one does no harm to him, he does not have any ill feelings towards said person. Actually, that makes him rather special in this world.

I hear the chains clicking and peel my eyes open.
"It's 6 am right now, you got an hour before work. Take a shower and grab something to eat. I'll be off, see you at work," mumbles Rodrik.
"Thanks," I reply.
I take off my clothes and plop myself into the shower, washing away the pains from my most recent episode. I put on a white shirt and black pants, sneak into my converse and head out.
I come across to my usual pizza restaurant and order two cheese slices. As I'm eating, I notice eyes on me. I hate this attention, but it's inevitable given my outlier tendencies.

I'm in the interrogation room interrogating the sick drug dealing bastard from yesterday.
"I ain't gotta tell you shit. I'm a good human, who cares about selling drugs to you criminals? You're already fucked in the head without the drugs LOL," the dealer bastard announces.
"Look, I just have to do this for protocol. What was your motive for this offence?" I ask impatiently.
"Quick money, what else fuckhead? My whores ain't gonna pay themselves," dealer bastard remarks with a smirk.
"Okay, we're done here," I retort.
"I'm done but you're not. I've heard of you, you know. The famous, righteous criminal, who has never commited a crime before. With that record, you managed to get a job as a police officer. How do you do it? Don't you get cravings you criminal blood loser? Mark my words, you're not gonna last. I can't wait till you make your first kill. I'll be laughing till my lungs burst when that happens," dealer bastard rambles.
"Should I start today with you?" I reply with a deadly look which reflects my true nature.
That shut him up real quick.

Later that day, I'm busy doing some paperwork when I see the dealer bastard getting to walk away, free from any punishments. He looks my way and points the middle finger at me, chuckles, and exits the police station.
"That's how this world works. He's not from a criminal lineage and his wrongdoing was towards people who're deemed less than human. Essentially, it's a no offence verdict, disgusting," says Rodrik.
"No point crying over spilt milk," I counter, "All we can do is follow our own justice and see where it leads us."
