MURDER AT MIDNIGHT

What Happened?

Melissa did not know what was happening. She was unconscious. Someone had hit the back of Melissa's head. Melissa had fainted. About 45 minutes later Melissa woke up and found herself in the basement. "Why am I in the basement?" Thought Melissa. She couldn't remember how she got in the basement. She couldn't remember anything that happened. The back of Melissa's head was hurting very badly. Melissa tried to open the basement door but it was locked. Someone had locked Melissa in the basement. "How did I get in the basement? Why can't I remember anything?" Melissa thought. Melissa tried to open the door but it seemed to be locked from the outside. "HELP!! HELP!! Is anyone there?" No one came to help Melissa. Melissa did not know what to do. She didn't even have her phone to call anyone for help. She didn't know where her mother was. Melissa had lost her memory because she got hurt on the back of her head. Melissa screamed and cried but no one came to help Melissa. Melissa couldn't get the basement door open. It seemed as if a lot of time had passed. Melissa looked around the basement so she could find something to open the door with. Melissa found a tool box. When she opened the tool box she found a screwdriver. Melissa took the screwdriver and tried to open the door with it. The door opened. "Mom, where are you?" Screamed Melissa. Melissa went to her mother's room and she couldn't find her there. Then, Melissa went to the kitchen and she couldn't find her there. Melissa looked around everywhere in the house except for her mother's office. Melissa didn't remember that her mother was in her office working on a presentation with Steven. Melissa didn't even remember that Steven came for dinner. Melissa totally forgot about the note and the box and the phone. Melissa looked at the clock and saw that the time was 11:30 pm. Melissa was just about to go to her bedroom When she saw blood on the floor.
