Chapter 01 - it's about time

I never thought this day would come .. gosh if look could kill I definitely have no idea who would die first.

Room was silent as a temple. No one dare to talk only glaring. I can guarantee its look like ten year olds got punished by their teacher but we are not ten year old but I highly doubt that with the man who sat in front of Naomi. We are not in school we are in a counseling room not mine of course its lawyers. Naomi and her beloved mentally five year old husband going to get divorced after 4 years of marriage. I myself represent as the mediator fake might I add and I have no idea why Susan came along with us.

Let me introduce us, I'm Loura Den , full time counsellor and part time social worker and Susan who sat next to me was my childhood best friend. We were friends for more than 20 years now. We are more like soul sisters. We have gone through many things together where we both can feel other persons distress or happiness even we are not together. On the other hand Naomi crash land to our group when we were teenagers. She is very innocent and naïve for her own goodness so if we miss one episode from her life she is doomed as hell and today we are sitting here to witness the result of that missing episode. Where she met that idiotic good for nothing husband.

"So are we going to settle this without going to the courts?"

his side of lawyer asked with a distress tone. Me being me I just sat there with my KFC snacks muhahah I just hate the guy even though I came as a mediator. Well both of them came to me for a counseling session. Even though I believe there is always a way to save a marriage in this case none.

"Yes .. as long as custody of the child hand over to Ms.Naomi"
Naomis lawyer said in a demanding tone.

"Not in million yearsss.. she can't take care of him "

David butt in with rage of anger but it was died down one glare from Susan of course. Now I know why she was here. Naomi never had courage to stand against her husband when she finally had some he is trying to take her that guilty trip where she always loose her confident.

"Okay sit down its not like you can take care of him either"
I just blurred out while eating my snack.

"Ha we are not talking to you, I say what I want, you sit there and eat like a little girl"

David snapped back. Oh.. he is asking for it

"At least I eat from my own money unlike someone who leeched every penny from his wife"

"Ouch thats burned"

thats Susan for you. Now David is boiling like a tea pot and his friend tried to grab his hand to stop him but he was too late

"YOU SNEAKY LITTLE B*#*."

"MR DAVID MIND YOUR LANGUAGE AND SIT DOWN "

well the actual mediator decide to butt in to cancel the road trip about to start.

After 3 hours of never ending discussion they decided to put the case in to the court because that stubborn ass can't take his head out from his ass. Okay I never cursed but he deserve those words. Naomi took the baby so she can calm down herself while me and Susan were look like two volcanos which about to burst out their lava.

"I cant believe he get away with his insults against you just give me a reason not to go to the jail by killing that air head"

Susan was cracking her knuckles.

"He is not worth it Su "

Naomi try calm her down,

"You can't leave your sweetheart and your cute little students"

I just gave the look like I know you can't give up on them

"Good point I guess.. Speaking of the devil he should be here by now"

Susan looked around to see her sweet heart while me who rarely get angry displaying those rare moments.

"Seriously I really cant tolerate his victories smug look jeezz"

David was walking ahead of us with his friend. We were in the parking lot. I dont know who got lucky I just hit a empty coke cane on Davids direction but it went to my right said but in a matter of second that freaking cane Hit Davids head. Oh My GOD how did that happened. All three of rooted our spot with a shock and turned our heads to see what actually happened. Bless my Eyes

"OMG he is cute"

we three said in unison and then looked at David who was walking in to my direction like a bull. But that hansome stranger also walked in to our direction and he stand in front of me and looked in to my eyes..thats mesmerizing . Ooookayyyy say something say something

"Let him hit me" I blurt out

"What??"

he was caught off-guard with that. David pushed him and punched me on my face. That freaking boneless PUNCHED ME ON MY FACE

Ouch

when I opened my eyes I saw David was on the ground with bleeding nose. Serves him well for punching me.

"I'm not going to let this go you little witch"

David was furious. If I say I was furious too that was underestimate I was murderous.

"So am I "

with that I walked back to the police station. My reflection through the glass confirmed that I will get a black eye for sure. Thats why I made a complaint against David for hitting me. Even though at first he was in denial cctv proved that he hit a harmless girl.

"I dont want to settle this"

I sat there with crossing my arms

"You already have a divorce case to face if this thing get out you can't get the custody"

David Friend whispered to him.

"okay how much you want ?"

"Do you think you can pay?"

I gave him my best smug look. Take that

"I will take care of it for him"

his friend replied which I can't remember his name

"Okay then what is highest amount can charge for his crimes"

I asked from the officer

"270$ "( this is not the actual fine Im just putting it)

"Okay then"

I looked at the officer. Once they settled things which actually took one and half hours we all were exhausted to death but I didn't forget to ask for a settlement copy from the officer and hand it over to Naomis lawyer. Ha.. Mission accomplished.

"You are scary when you actually get angry remind me to stay on your good side"

Susan was playing with the baby.

"ya thats true thanks lu"

Naomi hold my hand with a teary eyes. I gave her the passbook which I deposited that settlement fees under her sons name.

"Its nothing and he deserved it no one get away from punching me.. he really crossed the line and now he know not to mess with me"

We all got in to my car and drove away
