My name is Alyssa Akila Aratani. I'm almost 16 years old, my birthday being in September. And my life is nothing short of a living hell. Why? My parents abandoned me when I was three months old, dumping me at an orphanage. When I was adopted, I thought things would be better, but I was dead wrong. Instead of tender loving care, I got abused. Punched, kicked, cut and basically beaten until I could barely move. I was in that much pain. My once beautiful auburn hair has now bright red with brown tint, because the guy made me dye it and threatened to kill me if I didn't let him. He also made me get brown eyed contacts to replace with my glasses, because he hated the fact that I had emerald green eyes. As my sixteenth drew near, I caught word that he was going to sexually abuse me when I turned 16, and that was when I knew I had to get the hell away from him before it happened. But where the hell would I go? My biological family didn't care about me, and I had no friends because he scared them all off so what was I supposed to do? I thought about Yu-Gi-Oh!, about Yugi, Joey, Tristan and Tèa. I wish I was with them. I thought. Maybe then I'd know the love of a real family. I sighed, knowing I had just made an impossible wish. I climbed on my bed, feeling drowsy, and fell asleep, my mind on Duel Monsters.

I went through the portal and saw her..... The reincarnation of Queen Akila. She looked hurt and afraid. I silently went to her side and gently touched her face as she slept. I have to bring her home. I thought. I picked her up and carried her through. Now it was up to Yugi to help her regain her memories....................
