I decided that the two people must be male. As soon as I had decided that all sorts of grammar having to do with that gender flooded my mind. "Thank you Brother," I said as that seemed to be the right thing to say. He smiled.
"As you have no memory now is an excellent opportunity to reinvent yourself. You can choose a new name if you like. You can decide what you want to look like. You can decide what you want to dress like. Just tell us and we will make it happen," he said, " I am Henry. The one who carries you is known as Alexander."
"I'll think about who I want to be then," I said. By this time we had left the hospital. The men walked through the parking lot towards easily the most expensive car in the lot. Alexander lay me in the back seat and climbed into the passenger's seat while Henry started the engine.
"We need to take her shopping for night-clothes at the very least. She literally has nothing to wear," Alexander said.
"Agreed," Henry said, "I think we should start with the necessities though as we do want her to have some time to decide who she wants to be."
"Target it is then," Alexander said. We got to Target at ten-thirty pm. I was sceptical that they would be open that late, but they were and we were able to get me some underwear and pj's. After that we went to Henry and Alexander's home. I was generally unsurprised to find that they owned a mansion out in the middle of nowhere.
"Just a warning, we won't wake till dark so feel free to roam the premises till then. I have to ask you however not to leave the house. If you would like to see the yard please wait till dark and let one of us go with you. I sugest that you use the time to think on who you would like to be if you don't wake with an answer," Henry said.
"Alright," I said. I lay down on the king-size feather bed in my room and knew no more until late the next afternoon. I sat looking around my entirely white room. I would have to change the color of everything. Or maybe I would have to explore the sweet a little more. I walked through the door that did not lead to the hall. On the other side I found a second bedroom done entirely in black. Excellent, I thought, I just need to add a few pops of red to this room.
