It was 3:00am and she had given up on
trying to sleep. It just wasn't in her favor
tonight. As she desperately tried to sleep all she could do was toss and turn. She just laid there letting her mind wander off. Memory after memory played in her head, as she laid there. The memories she tried to forget, the ones that at one point in her life gave her hope. The memories of the colored days.
She quickly sat up and shook her head, hoping it would help her forget. She reached down towards her nightstand and turned on her lamp. The light didn't brighten up the whole room, but just enough for her to see the big splat of yellow paint on her dull gray walls. The only bright thing in her room was that splat of paint, if she had the strength it would have already been gone. But she couldn't get rid of the only memory that still puts a smile on her face, no matter how small that smile is. She quickly turned her gaze from the wall to her phone that was next to her lamp. Reaching over she grabbed her phone and tapped it, the phone lit up showing her lock screen. The picture was of her favorite place, the train station. It was the place that she went to whenever she needed to clear her head, or just some alone time. Even though she has a lot of alone time everyday, since she had no friends.

She got out of bed and grabbed her jacket that was hanging on her chair by her desk. She quickly slipped on her jacket and worn out converse. She quietly opened the door, making sure to be quiet as possible since everyone else was asleep. She walked down the stairs and out of her front door. She was met with the beautiful star filled sky, each star sparked under the street lamps that littered the streets. She walked along the empty streets heading towards the train station. She started going to the train station when she was a little girl with her mom. It was one thing she enjoyed doing. As she walked down the steps of the entrance she noticed a figure already sitting on the bench. The bench she always sat on, it had the best view of the night sky. She was surprised since not a lot of people are here at this time. She didn't know if she should go and sit down next to the stranger or find a different bench. She decided on the latter option and walked towards the bench with the stranger. She quietly sat down on the hard wooden bench, slightly glancing at the stranger next to her. He had short black hair that resembled a buzz cut, a sharp jawline, and tan skin.
They sat there in silence, she stared ahead of her looking at the beautiful night sky. The stars littered the sky resembling little specks of glitter.
"The view is amazing," Spoke the stranger. breaking the peaceful silence.
Instead of responding she sat there quietly, hoping he would get the hint that she didn't want to talk.
"How come you are here at this time? He asked, "I mean I shouldn't be asking you that since I am also here right now." He said with a small chuckle.
She could feel his gaze fixed on her, the way he examined her with a big stupid grin plastered on his face.
"I guess you aren't much of a talker," he said with his eyes still glued to me.
"I'm—," he started,
Before he could continue she was already walking away.
"—Xavier nice to meet you." He finished as he watched her walk away.
