It had been a long time since any of the six Hogwarts students had seen Alimar, Altair, and the children. Severus had gotten a letter from Lucius explaining the disappearence of his father's Lord and that he was no longer being pressured into servitude. Severus was happy his friend and adoptive brother was free of the man Lord Malfoy had disturbingly worshipped for most of his life. Severus was also glad that the brewing war had dissipated so quickly. Everyone in Slytherin had suddenly stopped being so hostile and began to mingle with other houses like they used to before this Lord Voldemort arrived. Dumbledore also seemed very pleased and was often seen skipping through the school throwing flowers and candy from a basket in what Severus was certain was a muggle wedding dress. Even James Potter and his crew had laid off of Severus, but he could never be too sure if that was because of their Leafy Vacation (A nickname he had picked up from Black shortly after their return). Lily and Severus had become friends again soon after their return as well. More often then not he would look up to find Potter watching jealously from a distance. It was honestly getting on his nerves. "Lily, when are you going to put Potter out of his misery?" Lily laughed as they sat under his favorite tree near the Black Lake. "You didn't like him and now you want me to date him? Wow, Sev." She laughed harder when she noticed Potter and his friends watching from a tree a couple meters away. "He thinks I am madly in love with you." Severus frowned deeply. "What's wrong with that? You don't love me, Sev?" Severus smirked. "If you had a dick I'd be all over you." They laughed together before Lily stood up. "I guess I'll go put him out of his misery." "Now?" Lily laughed again. "No time like the present." Severus shook his head as he watched his best friend saunter over to Potter before dragging him into a kiss without any warning. She said something before turning and walking back over to Severus. "What did you say to him?" Severus asked as he watched Black enthusiastically congratulate a dumbfounded looking Potter. "I told him that he would be taking me on a date during our next Hogsmeade weekend. Now come on let's go grab some lunch." Severus chuckled as he got up and followed Lily back to the castle. James on the other hand was sure his heart had stopped. He had been watching Snape and Lily become friends again since the Forest Incident and it was really getting on his nerves. Lily was his and he wasn't going let the snarky snake bastard have her. He and Padfoot had been trying to figure out a way to separate them so he could make his move. Despite the 1000s of times Lily had rejected him since first year he knew this would be the one that she would say yes to. They had everything planned. He would leave her notes and flowers all day and they would eventually lead to a night time dinner date by the Black Lake. He had already decorated everything but set it up so that it was invisible until the time was right. Now all he had to do was find the perfect opportunity to start his little scavenger hunt. He had actually planned on doing it tommorow but he couldn't resist watching Lily even if she was smiling at the snake. Suddenly Lily got up from her spot on the ground and began walking towards him. James panicked, she wasn't supposed to know he was there. Was he really that bad at spying on people? A few feet away Sirius began laughing. "Mate, it's a wonder she hasn't yelled at you sooner. You're really obvious." Sirius gasped out before clutching his stomach as laughter racked his body. Remus shot James an amused look as he panicked even more. Soon Lily was standing in front of him. "Lily, wait....I can...." James' desperate plea was cut off as Lily yanked him down into a passionate kiss. "You will take me on a date on our next trip to Hogsmeade. It better be romantic." She said with a wink before sauntering back to a very amused Snape. James turned to his friends in a daze. "I'm I dreaming?" The rest of the Marauders laughed. "No mate, looks like you finally got the girl." James shouted in joy and did a happy dance that was usually reserved for when they won a quidditch match. Remus laughed at his friend as he danced like a crazy person. He was just so glad that James and Lily were finally getting together. Like the rest of the Marauders he had thought Severus was madly in love with her, but from the way he saw him eye-banging Altair he had a feeling Severus was gay. He hoped it worked out for the snarky Slytherin. Since the Forest Incident, (Remus internally rolled his eyes at the name. Honestly why couldn't we think of a better name for it? At least it was better than 'The Leafy Vacation,' something Siri insisted they call it.) everything else seemed to be falling in place. Well, almost everything. If Sirius somehow came out as gay and got down on his knees to proclaim his undying love for Remus, then and only then would everything be perfect. It also wouldn't hurt if that girl Mary from Hufflepuff asked Peter out or something. Everyone knew they were madly in love and that the cute Hufflepuff was probably the only with the balls to actually make a move. It was sad in a way, but also kind of endearing. Remus gave a wistful sigh as he followed his friends into the castle. There was no way any of that would happen. Sirius had a thing for that Ravenclaw girl, what's-her-face, and Mary thought Peter was in love with her best friend Jane. Peter for some reason also thought Mary had a thing for a Gryffindor in the year ahead of them. And to be perfectly honest Sirius probably thought Remus was madly in love with someone else. It was all a bunch of bullshit created by denial and oblivious love sick teenagers. A bunch of confusing and unfounded love triangles. Frankly it was exhausting and if Remus had had any energy left he would have continued to create new ones and pretend he didn't love his best friend. As it so happens he didn't have the energy for that kind of bullshit right now and seeing his friend finally get the girl of his dreams made him realize that he shouldn't hold himself back. He was a Gryffindor, right? Reckless, brave, and daring. Which is exactly why when Sirius glanced back at him with a look of poorly disguised fondness and longing as they made their way to the Great Hall, he snapped. In a swift motion Remus had snatched Sirius away from James' side and had him pinned to a wall. "R..Remy....what are you..." The normally docile, Remus shut him up with a demanding kiss. "You talk too much, Sirius. Why don't you put that pretty mouth to better use?" Remus purred against his ear, eyes glowing gold. Sirius shuddered before smirking and quickly changing their positions and taking complete control. "As you wish." He murmured before attaching himself to Remus' neck. "Guys....lunch?" James said unsurely after watching his two best friends try and suck out each other's souls. The two broke apart leaving a smug looking Sirius and a embarrassed Remus to follow James and Peter into the Great Hall. "You two are really good at impersonating Dementors." James laughed awkwardly, making Remus turn cherry tomato red and Sirius grin madly. "You are just upset I'm getting the most action, Prongs." Both boys laughed when they saw Remus try and hide is face. "I'm glad you finally got your man, Pads." Sirius smiled happily, wrapping an arm around Remus. "I am too, especially know that I know he can kiss like that. Wonder what else that mouth do." Sirius wiggled his eyebrows suggestively, causing Remus to bury his face in his hands while the rest of them laughed hysterically. They were so caught up in laughter that as they walked in Peter tripped over his own feet and landed on top of a scarlet faced Mary. "I..I...I'm so s...s..s.sorry." Peter stammered out but didn't move. "Umm....I have to get up." Mary said looking away. Peter's eyes widened as he scrambled to stand. It took him four sperate attempts to actually stand and help Mary to her feet. Mary smiled softly before turning to leave. "I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU!" Peter squeaked out loudly causing everyone in the Great Hall to freeze. Mary turned slowly looking awe struck. "Y..you mean it?" Peter nodded vigorously at the soft spoken Hufflepuff. "Do y..you want go out?" He asked in a hopeful voice. Mary stared for a moment before squealing and launching her small form at Peter. All of Gryffindor cheered realizing that Peter had finally worked up enough courage to make a move. It was a beautiful day. Well for the Marauders at least. Meanwhile a very confused Altair was staring at his three children. "Abba we really want a new mommy." They pleaded while Alimar laughed manically in the background. Altair sighed, hoping his children and his sister weren't attempting to set him up with someone. "I honestly don't know what to say to any of this. More importantly I have quite a few questions about time travel." Altair said before turning to Alimar with a stern look. " Don't worry kids, we'll get a new mommy soon. We just have to wait till they're of age. Now go play, me and your Abba have to discuss some timey wimey stuff." The three kids ran off grinning wildly. Altair turned to his adoptive sister with a questioning look. "~You'll see~",she sang softly wagging her finger at him. "Whatever. Come on let's talk about this." Altair said, not knowing what the four mischievous menaces had in store for his love life. It was a rather trying day.
