Babysitting

Another day of farming in Chaldea. More specifically, the Rider Class Servants are on-duty today. Due to suffering QP hell for many weeks, Gudako decided to dedicate the 1/2 AP cost per quest to farm QP. The main Riders, Reines, Astolfo, Ishtar, Kintoki, and, of course, Ryouma and Oryou, are all going to depart today for farming.

At least, that was what Ryouma and Oryou thought. They were briefed of it yesterday but for some reason, they were the only ones gathered in the briefing room for departure. "Where is everybody?" Ryouma said as he looked around, confused because usually, Reines or Astolfo would be the first ones in the briefing room when it was time to farm.

Then, the door opened to reveal Mash, she was frantically looking around, and when her eyes fixed onto Ryouma and Oryou, "Oh thank goodness you guys are here!" She said as she wanders inside to talk to them

"What happened? Why are the other Riders not here yet?" Ryouma asked

"Well...you see, there's been...an emergency somehow..."

"Emergency?" Oryou asked just as the door opens and Holmes wandered in, carrying something in his arms as Da Vinci walked beside him "We announced that farming is postponed until further notice. But we purposefully didn't tell you so you would come without delay, Ryouma..." Da Vinci said as Holmes handed Ryouma the something he was holding.

Oryou and Ryouma looked at it and saw that they were holding a child curled up into a ball, her clothes composed of an orange hamster onesie. Slowly, the child's eyes opened and revealed somewhat familiar golden pools looking straight at Ryouma as Oryou hovered beside him. The hood part of the onesie fell from the child's head and they saw a familiar mop of red hair, a cowlick, and a ponytail holding up her hair at the side. The child smiled a little, and grabbed onto Ryouma's cheeks, pulling on them making the man wince a bit but didn't complain, though he did develop a sweatdrop, looking at Mash for a proper explanation.

"You see...uh...I think Senpai accidentally drank tea simmered with Kid Gil's Potion of Youth. And...I think it worked too well...and we don't even know why they were playing around with something like that but...here we are..." Mash sighed as the child blinked at Ryouma

"I don't think Oryou-san understands what you mean, human." Oryou said, trying her best to not look at the child in Ryouma's arms

"Well, she... regressed into a child. I mean, this happened before but she was able to turn back after a day but that time she willingly tried a spell and therefore it guaranteed her to return to normal. But now...she can't command and lead battles like this. So we cancelled every activity...." Mash said just as the child suddenly giggled and placed her hand on Ryouma's face, pulling at it from every angle.

Oryou stared hard with her dragon eyes at the child, attempting to somehow scare her. But the child just looked at her and laughed, her arms flailing to try and reach her. When she didn't succeed, her eyes welled up and Mash visibly flinched. Ryouma saw this and quickly lifted the child higher towards Oryou, giving her a look that said 'please bear with it'

Oryou, though she doesn't like it, sighed and started poking the child's cheeks, calming her down and making her laugh, also making Oryou smile, too, uncharacteristically but Ryouma found it somehow heartwarming.

"So... why didn't you tell us you cancelled farming today?" Ryouma asked as the child Master crawled onto his shoulders, grabbing onto his hat and laughing while Ryouma held onto her feet and Oryou hovered level with the child, making the child laugh happily, clapping her hands and trying to reach for Oryou.
