Izukus POV

-Shatter-

"But there are many different occupations that are just as respectable as a hero. But I must be off goodbye young one." after All Might said that he ran out from underneath the bridge and jumped off. I start thinking of how useless I am and why did I even bother believing I could be one. I then start walking home with a blank face tears running down my cheek and onto the cold concrete. I suddenly jump from hearing an explosion, I see a bunch of people grouped up outside of an alleyway so I decided to see what was happening. As I make my way through the crowd I start to hear the explosions more vividly, the screams more clearly and I feel the heat increasing. I then see Bakugo the boy that has relentlessly bullied me since my childhood trapped inside the sludge villain that tried to use me as a meat suit a while ago. I quick thought went through my head of me just leaving but by instinct I just ran in, I dont know what forced me to run but I ran like it was my own life on the line. I saw a glimmer a few paces away from me and I looked more closely to see a sharp piece of metal that kinda looked like a knife without a handle so I figured it is better then nothing so i changed my path so while running to the villain I could pick it up but I diverted my attention to the metal for too long and I didnt even realize that there were tendrals made of sludge my way. With no options but to dodge, I dodged right to be right next to the metal and picked it up and gripped it as hard as I could as I was running I didnt even notice my hand bleeding because of how tightly I am gripping the metal. But the adrenaline running through my body was too much to realize I was bleeding. I had to keep running or else the sludge villain would send a tendral right through me, as I was running the villain was getting desperate it saw how I was running on pure instinct and all that did was scare it more and out of pure desperation sent the sludge out as tendrals like a shotgun I knew I couldnt dodge but if I stopped to block I would lose so I kept running a felt 3 tendrals hit me one in my left arm, one in my right leg, and the last one in my stomach. Needless to say it hurt like a bitch but I still ran towards him and because I ran through that attack I was now in range so I leaped as high as I could and stabbed him in the eye then pulled the metal back out but not leaving without the eye itself. The sludge villain let out a blood curdling scream of pain and anger but he was stunned in this moment giving me enough time to pull out Bakugo and start running away while listening to Bakugo yell at me for saving him. While he was yelling at me I couldnt hear the tendrals the villain sent out coming for me so all I felt was tendrals going right into my stomach enlarging the hole that was already there which caused me to spit out blood. I was about to the heroes so I just decided to not care about anything else and ran as fast I could with Bakugo on my back. As I finally got to the heroes they jumped in and captured the villain whilst me and Bakugo were being examined by the paramedics. As the heros came back they praised Bakugo for being calm and having a powerful quirk whilst I was berated for doing their job for them so I just had enough and yelled "WELL MAYBE I WOULDNT HAVE TO JUMP IN AND SAVE HIM IF YOU DID YOUR OWN FUCKING JOBS!". Then I stood up and walked off, while the crowd was shocked that I said that to the heroes. As I was about home Bakugo ran up to me and said "I DIDNT NEED YOUR HELP YOU NERD!" but I wasnt paying attention and kept walking back to my house but when I arrived I was mortified by what I saw in front of me when I opened the door.
