I just realized that we're in double numbers!!
I SERIOUSLY REWROTE THIS CHAPTER LIKE A MILLION TIMES AND IT ALWAYS DELETES IT AND DOESNT PUBLISH! IM SORRYYY.

Chapter 11

"BUT IM PREGNANT". Alex shouted.

What? I stared at him like he's crazy as well as everybody else in the room.

"Alex last time i checked you were a guy and guy's don't get pregnant" Every pack member was trying to stifle their laughs by now, some of them even started fake coughing. "But I don't want you to break up with me" Alex now looked truly broken even though he was joking a few seconds ago.

"I'm not breaking up with you-" are we even together? this is why we really need to have this talk. "I just want to talk" I mumbled the last part. He nodded and we went up back to his room for some privacy. Once we were far enough everyone bursted out laughing but i was too consumed in deciding how I'm going to start this to even notice them.

When we went into his room which is now temporarily mine, I shut the door and we sat down on the bed. About five minutes passed by but they felt like hours. "So?" Alex asked looking at me with curious eyes.

"So what are we?" I finally asked after a few more moments of silence. I dreaded his answer, i didn't want to know. I already got attached to him and it would break me if he denied whatever it is that is between us.

"We're mates, Autumn." I gave him the 'duh I know' look and thought of a different way to go about this. "Maybe I am not saying this right. Okay, what I am saying is I don't fully understand what this is. My whole life I have never heard about mates and it kinda scares me," I laughed nervously but still continued, looking down at my hands, "I um, I've only heard of girlfriends and boyfriends but never mates and I don't know where this makes us stand." I bit my bottom lip and played with my fingers, hoping that he understood what I mean.

Alex touched my hand softly and gave it a squeeze, "Hey, it's okay I understand that it confuses you and thats alright. I am willing to wait as long as you need me to and we can even do it your way and forget about this whole mates thing until you get comfortable with it."

I smiled gratefully at him and squeezed his hand back, "I would really like that."

"Of course," he replied with a small smile, "hey now, you should get some sleep we have a lot to do tomorrow."

I looked at a now grinning Alex with confusion, "Tomorrow? What are we doing again tomorrow?" He shook his head and made a motion of zipping his mouth and tossing away the key.

"Alex, say something because now you are just making me nervous."

"Don't be. You might not like it, no, scratch that, you won't like it but you have to do it like the rest of the pack members. Im sorry Autumn, but I promise you'll love the treat I have for you after that." He winked at me with a silly grin.

I nodded hesitantly but I was still really nervous. What if they have like a weird ritual where they make you eat insects and drink goats blood? I really don't like either of them. He said it's something I have to do with the rest of the pack but not one good thought came to my mind about what it could be.

Please don't let them make me eat insects.

The next day I woke up with a soft shake to my shoulder. I groggily opened my eyes expecting to see Alex. Instead, I found Audrey staring down at me with an outfit in her hands.

"Hi, what's up?" I asked her still half asleep. "The sun." She replied giggling and getting only a blank stare from me.

"Get up and put these on. You have 15 minutes. I'll be waiting outside." She left the clothes on my bed and left my room.

Now fully awake, I looked at the clothes and realized what they are. They were a pair of sports leggings, sports bra and a pair of running shoes. What the hell are they planning for me?

I quickly got up and hurried to the bathroom to take a shower. It was seriously the fastest shower anyone could have ever taken even though i might have slipped a few times. I got up and put the clothes on.

Okay, first of all, no. I refuse to wear these clothes and I refuse to participate in whatever this is. I didnt feel comfortable and I sure as hell are going to in front of the whole pack.

I put my hair up in a pony tail and opened the door to tell Audrey to get me a shirt. "You're three minutes late. Come on." I opened my mouth to protest but she was already dragging me. Literally.

Straightening myself and trying to keep up with her pace, I realized she was wearing almost the same thing but shorts instead of leggings. I really dont think what they will do is going to be good in any way.

Too wrapped up in my thoughts, I didnt realize we were outside and standing in a line. A really, really horizontal long line.

Alex and his father were standing in front of us. Alex's dad raised his hand and everyone was silent. "Alright everyone. First of all, good morning," Alex started, "most of you know what we're doing here but some of you dont," he glanced at ms for a second then continued, "today is practicing and hunting day. Around you you'll notice there are mats laid out. You will be practicing sparring . Don't worry, we wont make this harder than your abilities but this is just to get you warmed up. After that, we're going to go on a hunting trip in groups in wolf form to practice your skills too. Good luck everyone."
