"I see the fear in your eyes."

He sees through her facade, he knows she's afraid. She felt her body shake as her weapon landed by her side. "Akane Hanabi." He's reading her like an open book, and she's allowing him to. "Afraid of being unloved eh?" She heard him chuckle.

"Then perhaps I could easily press your buttons." He smirked that gave shivers went up her spine. Her body's slowly giving out, her chakra lowering. "The man you love doesn't love you and is in love with girl you called a weakling." Hanzo felt his lips formed a smile. "A weakling that is now more powerful than you." He saw her let out a pained gasp. He finally pressed the button. He'll need to press it more.

"A weakling that came from a noble clan and has a family unlike you." He saw her sobbed as tears pool on her azure blue eyes. He saw the blood ran out of her mouth. "The noble clan that killed your family, ne? Perhaps, the boy you fell in love with doesn't care about you, he loves the girl who killed your family to save her life, the selfish weakling."

Hanabi finally let out all the daffodils she has been trapping on her mouth, the once yellow daffodils was now completely red with blood. She let out a strangled cry as she felt more come out. The man before her snickered. "A lot of souls sacrificed for a weakling that the Shadow ninja loved." She continued to sob while the Shadow betrayer continued to tell her things she wished isn't true.

She felt the air on her lungs knock out as the last flower fell. Her eyes slowly closing, almost missing the dark red chakra that she knows too much,  embracing her. She heard a soft whisper.

"You're safe now."

"I'm not." She remembered herself thinking.

____

It has been three days since they fought the Shadow betrayer and they had failed. Hanabi used a jutsu to Hayabusa and Kagura so they would forget about the blood-stained daffodils. They hadn't noticed.

Three days she had to endure the flowers rising up her throat. The days of watching the man she loves, love another woman, they had been intimate around her making the throwing up worsen than before. She remembered having to use an illusion when she threw up flowers right in front of them. And this fourth day she decided that she can not endure it anymore, the Supreme Grandmaster must be disappointed if he had seen her like this.

"Ninjas endure."

"They endure."

The most used motivation of the Supreme Grandmaster whenever he's training her. When she gets hurt, he'd say it to her right away, comforting her. He is the father figure she had needed since her parents died.

Losing him would break her further.

Hanabi sighed as she slowly packed her things, deciding that she had to go back to the village. Tying the bag of senbon on the side of her waist, she left not noticing the confused Kagura following her.

"This chakra...." Hanabi quickly looked behind her to see Kagura standing a few feet away from her. She snarled at the sickening innocent look she has on her face. Kagura gripped her umbrella tighter as she stared at Hanabi.

"Hanabi-san, where are you going?" Kagura asked with her sickening sweet voice that Hayabusa loves so much.

"It's none of your concern." Hanabi grumbled, continuing walking. "You're Haya-kun's friend, so you're automatically my friend now, Hanabi-chan." Kagura said as she smiled softly.

Oh, so they have nicknames for each other now, eh?

"You're not my friend and you will never be, Omnyouji." Hanabi said with venom laced in her voice. "O-Oh." Kagura looks down, crestfallen.

It's probably her first time getting rejected.

"Stop meddling in others business, Omnyouji. Being from a noble clan doesn't allow you to." Hanabi said as she left. Kagura looks at her with a saddened look on her face. She quietly went back to their camp, finding Hayabusa to vent out all the frustrations she's been having.

"H-Haya-kun." Kagura whispered as she tugged on Hayabusa's sleeve. Hayabusa looked at his lover. "Ne? Kagura-chan?" Kagura seems to be disappointed, Hayabusa noticed. "A-Am I not Hanabi-chan's friend?" Hayabusa stared at Kagura before smiling softly.

"I can't believe you spend your time with that weakling." Hanabi said as she kicked Hayabusa in the stomach. "Kagura-sama is not a weakling." Hayabusa said as he punched Hanabi in the jaw. "Believe what you believe." Hanabi shrugged as she dodged Hayabusa's punch. "You spend time with a weakling, so your a weakling too." Hanabi said. "Well, your a weakling too then because you spend time with me."

Hanabi pouted at Hayabusa's remark. "I don't spend time with you, idiot! I spar with you." She said as she kicked Hayabusa's ass, literally. "OUCH!"

"Well, judging from her actions before, I think you are her friend." Hayabusa said as he noticed Kagura's face lit up. "R-Really?" Kagura asked. "Yes, really." Hayabusa said as he kissed Kagura's forehead.

Hanabi trembled as she watched the two near her tent, she went back right away after noticing that rouge ninjas has been following her and the time she saw a moth flying near her.

Hanzo has been following her.

Feeling the all too familiar rising if flowers up to her throat. She felt all the colors drain from her face as she felt the flowers go out her mouth against her will.

No not here.

Not near them.

Don't let them see.

Don't let them...

Don't.

Hanabi let out a strangled cry as the flowers went out her mouth, tainted with more blood than usual.
