I Didn't Know

Day.2

I kick my grandmother in the hip.
She looks at me and tackles me to the ground. She goes to bite me but something hits her and she falls.

I get up and see the nurse standing there holding a bat.

"What the hell..." She says.

"She's not fully dead." I say.

I get up and stomp on her head.

"Can someone please help me!!" My grandfather says.

The nurse runs to him.

"I never saw a bite like this before." She says.

"Can we save him?" I say.

I don't want anyone else to die!

"We have to cut his arm off!" I say.

"What?" They both say.

"Abby had a bite like that. Then she... Turned into one of them. I think if we cut off his arm, the bite won't affect him!" I say.

"Can you explain to me, what just happened! Catherine was dead! How did she come back alive? She got stronger.." The nurse says.

"I don't know exactly. But when I was at the amusement park... People went nuts! I don't know how but the dead are coming back alive! We have to do this fast before he turns!" I say.

"There's a saw in the garage." My grandfather says.

"Okay I will get it!" I say.

"I'm July." The nurse says.

"Emily." I say.

I open the garage and see a box that says "tools".

I walk to it and look inside. I grab the saw.

"This better work!"

I hand the saw to July.

"You should probably leave the room." July says.

"Okay" I say and leave.

I look outside the window. Everything looks peaceful, no zombies.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!" My grandfather says.

July runs out and says "we have to take him to a hospital now!"

We get into Julys car and drive to the nearest hospital.

"Is he okay?" I ask.

"For a guy who just got his arm chopped off, pretty good." She says.

I look back.

"I will be okay, don't worry!" He says.

I smile.

"He's going to be fine." The doctor says.

"Thank god!" I say.

"He's gonna stay with us for the night." The doctor says.

"Okay , thank you!" I say.

I get into Julys car.

"So, where do you live?" She asks me.

"Staten Island" I answer.

Maybe my dad is home.. I never thought about that.

"Okay I will drive you home. And don't worry, I will pick up your grandfather tomorrow!" She says.

"Thanks"

"So.. About what happened to Katherine.." She says.

"It's the zombie apocalypse." I say.
