(sorry if this chapter seems weird, I wrote it half way asleep and panicking cause ppl REALLY want an update and I was ~stressed~ okay)

Cat was awoken to Isabeth shaking her. Calmly getting up she started for the kitchen, Isa grabbing her wrist and stopping her.

"Where'd you get that?" She hissed, pointing as Cat's neck. A shiver racked up her spine at the sight. Oh no...

"U-Um.... Another bar fight?" She chuckled, giving a shaky smile. Isa growled and pulled Cat close, tracing the bruise.

"That's not a bar fight injury.... You had another run in didn't you?" Isa sighed. Cat quickly deflating. Sighing out she nodded. Isa dragged her to the bathroom, forcing her to take off her shirt and get into the tub before she poured a bucket of water over the taller girl. Cat spat out some hair and glared at her girlfriend, scrunching up her nose as she got a spray of water from the shower head.

Cat hissed but kept still, glaring as the water washed away the makeup. Scars and bruises decorated her torso and arms, making Isa's face harden. Cat locked her eyes onto the water running down the drain as Isa tended to the wounds adorning her body.

Some splashes of red stained the water but it quickly ran down the drain, Isa stitching up some of the deeper cuts along her arm. Again, good thing she can't feel pain. They didn't have anymore anaesthetics. At least for now- with how much Isa gets dinged up they'll need some heh.

Eventually it was over and Cat was allowed to get dressed, huffing as she did so since Isa was lecturing her. But it was soon done, quickly grabbing her wallet she fled for the store to pick up groceries and meds.

Hopping into her car she started it up and headed for one of the stores a few miles away, just in case. She doesn't know if any other hero is tailing her and she rather not find out. Especially with Isa in the picture.

Anyways, stepping out she pulled on her mask and headed in. Nodding at the workers she passed she went on her way.

A familiar feeling crept up her spine but she ignored it, continuing on her way even as the person kept following. They weren't very good... Most definitely not alone tho, the other was trained likely. Annoying.

Subtly hurrying up she get everything and checked out, ignoring the footsteps again as she headed for her car. They really think she's stupid huh??

(Too tired, sorry. I'll be updating again later today or tomorrow but I currently have a stomach bug and I'm too tired to write more rn. Have a good day, sorry)
