-----"Ache, it's starting."
What the male said brought a sinister smile to her scarlet lips. Finally.
The room began to heat up as if it was on fire. Well it is, after all, in flames.
"Please, please stop." Said a sobbing voice. The male swiftly followed the sound, wary about the fact that someone was left alive.
"Don't." Her icy voice made him halt.
Her steps, both quiet and heavy, echoed as she made her way to where the crying came from. She stopped in front of a cabinet and knocked gracefully on the wood.
"Come out. I'm no bad person." Her soft voice sounded like an orchestral tune of harp that could have been mistaken for an angel's voice.
A little girl's head peeked from behind. The woman smiled, making the child quiet. In her eyes, the woman was the most beautiful being she had ever seen.
"Come out," the woman repeated herself.
The child, dazed by the gorgeous female, crawled out of her hiding place. The woman helped her get up before kneeling to level the girl's height. The woman wiped her tear-streaked cheeks, her smile never leaving her face.
"Where's my M-mommy?" The girl managed to ask.
The woman met her eyes and the child was stunned by her beauty once more. She smiled before getting closer to the girl's ear.
"You'll never see them again," she whispered.
As if on cue, the girl's gaze was drawn to the current situation of the chamber, which was slowly being consumed by flames. The red and orange lights look like hungry tongues licking their way all over the place.
The gorgeous woman stared to where the girl was looking as well, only that her angel face plastered a satisfied expression different from the terrified look on the child. Her eyes mirrored the flames yet her alluring orbs only made them look like stars.
"We need to go, Ache." The male broke the silence.
At once the woman got up, dusted the invisible dirt off her dress, then held the little girl's face.
"You remind me of me," she whispered icily, enough for only the two of them to hear.
Innocent, poor child. I died the same age as hers, maybe younger.
"But my parents were no devils, yours were. Watch them burn in their own hell." Gone was the angel façade.
She confidently stood up and strode towards the room exit, leaving the girl in the blazing room.
