TECH WIZARD

"Hachi-chan, can you take this box of old supplies down to the music room?"

Tsuchigomori-sensei asked, making me look up from my book. I sometimes spent my time here in the library, just to escape Teru's clinginess. But lately, I've been here more than often. Obviously to avoid Hanako now too.

I helped out once in awhile, Tsuchigomori-sensei and I had more in common than one would think; so I didn't mind agreeing to the task I've been given.

"Sensei, it's Karasuma. Not Hachi." I informed as I picked up the box and headed out.

No matter how many times I reminded him though, he insisted on the nickname for some odd reason I failed to decipher. More like I didn't try. The Miya twins occupied my brain most of the time anyways.

"Hai hai, whatever you say, Hachi-chan." He dismissively waved.

I was walking through the halls, the average weighted box in my arms when a voice spoke through what's said to be the "rumor radio".

"Ne, have you heard about the Misaki Stairs..?" The feminine voice questioned.

Drowning out the voice, because for some reason her voice annoyed me. I started descending down one of the many stairs that littered Kamome Academy, and just my luck, it was the same stairs that was the topic of today's rumor.

"Onee-chan! Do you need help?—" Kou abruptly got cut off when the box fell into his hands, his senpai nowhere in sight.

"Kou? Who are you talking to..?"

I woke up in a cold sweat. I looked around and furrowed my brows in confusion. It looked like I was in a traditional style Japanese house from more than 50 years ago...

Glancing down, I was relieved to see that my clothes were still on and didn't feel any different. I looked out the window in the room, the moon shining brightly as stars littered the vast expanse of the night sky.

Before I could ponder any further, the door to the room opened, revealing... Hanako with tea? Growing more confused by the second, I opened my mouth to voice my confusion. Did this pervert force me into swallowing something weird again?

"Oi, Hanako, where the hell are we?" I asked just as he was sitting down beside the futon.

The mysterious boy tilted his head at me and creased his brows together. As if he was the one that was confused. "Hanako? My name is Amane Yugi!"

Apparently, he and his younger twin brother found me in their backyard by their koi pond unconscious. That was all I caught because my thoughts drifted off in ways to escape this weird realm of sorts.

The sliding doors once again opened to reveal... another Hanako.

"Oh, you're awake and Tsukasa kept you company. I was just about to call him to dinner.."

Huh? Didn't he say his name was Yugi or something?

Tsukasa, apparently, pouted at the second set of Hanako. "You're no fun, Yugi. The jig is up already!" He yelled before storming out of the room. Presumably to their just as traditionally styled dining room.

"You'll have to forgive him. He's.. quirky." The actual Yugi apologized and bowed to be more.. sincere I guess.

And that's how I ended up at dinner with the Amane twins. Tsukasa was pretending to be his older brother, Yugi. Who apologized for the former. We were having donuts for dessert while I kept checking my phone.

No service, the time was frozen even though it felt as though hours had already gone by, and the date just showed 00/00/0000. But the wall clock in this place seemed to work just fine as it ticked away.

"Ne ne, what's that you got there, Usagi-chan?" Even in this weird realm, I'm nicknamed Usagi-chan huh?

Tsukasa asked as he shamelessly crawled onto my lap like a cat while Yugi panicked and tried to tell him off. Honestly, I didn't really bother anymore. Teru is just as touchy feely. Maybe even more.

"Oh, this? It's a touch screen smart phone. It lets me play games, talk to people, set an alarm and check the time, and lots more.." I explained. So my gut wasn't wrong in assuming that this was indeed 50+ years ago. Because he didn't even know what this was.

Both brothers seemed to perk up in interest and curiosity. Just like cats would. I sweat dropped at their questioning stares. Did they want me to go on or something..?

"Can you buy donuts using that?" Yugi was the one who asked this time.

"Uhm, yeah. It gets delivered to your house by a delivery guy.."

Tsukasa then piped up, almost hitting my chin; which I thankfully avoided. They asked question after question and I answered as best as I could. I eventually started telling them about other gadgets like laptops, play stations, and many more.

Time seemed to pass by so fast that the sun was already rising from the horizon. My body started to glow and I slowly started to fade away into bright glowing teal petals. Yugi and Tsukasa seemed to panic and somehow tried to reach out.

"W-Wait! Tech wizard, you're leaving?!" Tsukasa was already crying and his voice was hoarse

"W-Wait! Tech wizard, you're leaving?!" Tsukasa was already crying and his voice was hoarse. I swear Yugi's eyes were welling up with tears when he pushed a rocket key chain into my hands. "Take care of yourself, Usagi-chan!"

I laughed lightly as I clutched the key chain to my chest. It was a genuine laugh, and it seemed to brighten their moods as Yugi smiled softly and Tsukasa stopped crying waterfalls, but was still sniffling.

"I'll see you guys later."
