Chapter 15

"No wait-" Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's arm. "Are they still there?" He asked. Jungkook chuckled. "No" he said. "Let's go"

Both of them came out of the alley.

The night felt lonely and calm. Tiny vehicles rushing along tangled lines of streets created twisting threads of light. The sky above them was dark, tingling with glittering stars. The weather was chilling.

They walked along the roadside with no words shared or spoken. Taehyung kept looking ahead of him, walking straight with Jungkook walking behind him. Each step were taken slowly. Each time the wind blew past them, it made Taehyung shiver. But nonetheless he continued to walk.

"Let's sit there for a moment" Jungkook's voice came from behind him. He stopped and turned around at Jungkook who was pointing at the bleachers in the ground.

Without saying anything Taehyung motioned at the bleachers. He sat down and sighed. Jungkook too sat down beside him.

Now, there weren't any one there. The streets were empty with cold wind passing by. The place was so open to the sky. Taehyung looked at Jungkook. His eyes were  shining brightly, he looked straight without even blinking.

"You know...you can stop staring." Taehyung came to his senses. He frowned. "Who was even looking at you?" He muttered. "You" Jungkook replied.

"You've mistaken" Taehyung spoke. After that they both became quiet.

"You hear that?" Jungkook asked. Taehyung smiled and nodded "yes, that's the sound of crickets" both of them looked at one another and smiled.

"What were you doing back earlier in that alley?" Jungkook asked.

"With that girl?" Taehyung asked and Jungkook nodded.

Taehyung sighed "...I don't know...she approached me in that bar and then led me all the way in there"

"Don't do that again" Jungkook said. "It could've been worse if I didn't show up"

Taehyung looked at Jungkook who wasn't bothered to look at him. Taehyung looked down.

"Why do you care?" He asked, frowning.

A moment of silence passed by them.

"Because you're my friend too Taehyung" Jungkook smiled and replied.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook with, his eyes glistening. He felt himself smiling as well. He felt a warm feeling inside of him.

Jungkook suddenly got up. "Let's go now" he said. Taehyung nodded and got up as well.

"Wait Tae–" Jungkook stopped him. Taehyung looked at Jungkook. Jungkook took off his black leather jacket. He came near Taehyung.

"Here!" He spoke. He knew Taehyung was feeling cold for quite some time.

Taehyung looked confused for a moment. "Why are you giving me this?" He asked.

Jungkook rolled his eyes "To wear ofcourse" he handed Taehyung his jacket and began to walk.

"Wait Jungkook–" Taehyung tried to say but Jungkook already too far.
