Chapter Twenty Nine.

I walked down the stairs of the pack house. I could already see the many skittish pack members running around bellow. I paused midway down the stair just taking a moment to taken in everything that was happening in preparation for tonight.

Logan had promised that after everything with my father had been sorted out that I would be officially introduced to the pack in a ceremony. It had confused me as I had always thought that I was a member of Logan's pack, especially since I turned into a wolf and we had mated. I was sure that almost every pack member knew who I was and those that didn't were the children.

He had explained that it was tradition and the pack needed a celebration after everything that had happened. I also hadn't been introduced officially into the pack. Logan's argument made a few good points and without any other persuasion needed I had agreed to the ceremony.

It had been just over a month since everything with my father and the pack was now somewhat back to normal. Those that had been injured, myself included had healed fully after a week or two. My father's pack had slowly been introduced into Logan's pack after extensive questioning of everyone, including those that had remained on my father's territory during the attack.

Logan was currently looking into extending the territory to accommodate for the new members. His third in command and a few of the pack fighters were currently in my father's territory, keeping everything under control and helping the pack become strong until there was enough room for everyone to live together. Logan's pack had at first rejected the idea but after explaining everything and having Mr Rogers go over the story a number of times to everyone the pack finally agreed and were slowly adjusting.

I was still the Alpha of my dad's pack but after tonight's ceremony Logan would take over as Alpha and I would become both of the packs Luna. We had spoken in depth about what would happen with my new title and we had agreed that Logan would take over as Alpha. He had been trained to be an Alpha his whole life; he knew what he was doing whereas I didn't know where to start. It was in the best interest of both of the packs if Logan was Alpha.

An elderly member of the pack walked down the hallway, a vase of flowers tucked under each arm and another resting between her hands. I could see the vase tucked under her left arm slowly slipping and I rushed down the stairs to meet her at the bottom where I slipped the vase out from under her arm before it could smash against the wooden floor boards.

"Are you okay?" I asked her, watching as she adjusted the vase that had been between her hands so that it was now tucked under her arm, replacing the one that I now held.

She looked a little flustered as she looked at me, her eyes widening slightly, "Yes thank you so much Luna."

My wolf beamed with pride at being address as 'Luna'. It was both a sign of respect and acceptance which meant that both me and my wolf couldn't be prouder. The title seemed formal and it would take a long time to get used to it. I doubted that I would ever get used the title.

"It's Esme," I smiled at her, "I can help you carry this wherever it needs to go."

"Oh no it's fine, thank you though. Your mum and Luna Gemma are looking for you, there are in the kitchen." She smiled gratefully.

"If you're sure.." I trailed off unsure.

I was hoping that she would say yes and allow me to help her. My mum and Gemma were expecting to help me get ready for tonight and I knew that they would want to start now, hours in advance so that everything was perfect. I had no idea what was going to happen nor did I know what to wear and I was happy with just deciding later.
