Izuku could've pinpoint the exact moment he feels his brain combust when Iida catches him up with all the work he missed. While some subjects he wouldn't have a problem with understanding the content missed, like English or History, and maybe even Literature. It is Mathematics that worries Izuku the most, especially considering they started Calculus. It's not that Izuku is bad at Maths, far from bad, the last quiz they had he almost got a perfect score. The problem lies within the fact Izuku kinda, really need someone to sit down and explain the concepts to him before he can fully understand it. And he knows his Maths teacher won't waste his time going over things that have been covered already, so Izuku turns to his next best option – his boyfriend – Shouto, who's admittedly better at Maths than him.

"...And I haven't even mentioned all the physical training you missed out on," Iida continues, stopping when he notices Izuku starting to zone out. "Ah, sorry, Midoriya, I didn't mean to overwhelm you. I know things are still a bit difficult," he says, and smiles apologetically at Izuku.

"Don't apologize, Iida! Really – thanks for telling me what I missed," Izuku flashes him a grateful smile and pats him on his shoulder, "things may not be the best right now, but I'm trying my best to not dwell too much on the negatives."

"I admire your resilience," Iida says, and Izuku opens his mouth to protest but Iida spoke again, "it's getting late now, you should get some rest. I'll see you in the morning, Midoriya."

Izuku sighs and rubs his tired eyes, groaning as the realization sets in. I'm so fucked, he thinks. He knows that he would've missed a great deal of school work, both Sir Nighteye and Togata warned him of this but his excitement of being able to work like a Pro Hero overshadowed his academic responsibilities for a while. Then it dawned upon him, Shouto might be too busy to help him since he's got extra lessons to retake the provisional hero license exam. Izuku couldn't burden his boyfriend with his issues, and Izuku knows Bakugou is out of the picture for any form of tutoring.

The rational side of Izuku's brain tries to reason, because obviously Shouto isn't going to tell him no. However, he can't help the wave of guilt that washes over him at the thought of adding even more troubles to Shouto's plate; all because Izuku missed a few classes. On the contrary, Shouto helping him with Maths will allow the couple to spend some more time together, Izuku can't remember the last time him and Shouto were alone, just the two of them. It will provide much needed relief for both of them, studying together, and...

"Izuku?" Shouto's voice pulls him out of his thoughts, or rather his mutterings.

"Shouto!" Izuku exclaims, walking over to Shouto, closing off the distance between them. "When did you get back from training?"

"Not too long ago," he replies, pulling Izuku into an embrace, "I missed you today."

Izuku buried his face in the crook of Shouto's neck, hiding the fact that his face is currently burning up. "Shooooutoooo," he whines, his voice a pitch higher, "are you trying to kill me?"

"Maybe, maybe not," Shouto responds cryptically, resting his chin on top Izuku's messy curls. "Let's head back to our dorms, you need the rest if you want to keep up with my tutoring tomorrow."

"Y-You don't mind helping me out? Are you – won't you be too busy?" Izuku untangles himself from Shouto.

"Izu, you know I don't mind helping you out," Shouto says exasperatedly, rolling his eyes fondly at the shorter boy.

"I know – but-"

Shouto cuts him off, "I need the time away from Bakugou."

"The FUCK, did you just say, IcyHot!" Bakugou's shouting broke them apart.
