Toriel's POV

I looked at frisk watching them watch the fire as they looked lonely. I sighed 'my child has been looking quite sad for a few day's now maybe I could get them something to cheer them up' I then closed the book I was reading and placed it back in the bookshelf. I got out of my seat and walked towards frisk smiling at them "frisk I'm going to be gone for a short awhile there's pie in the fridge if you get hungry" all frisk did was nod her head as my smile faded slightly. I walked towards the front door and went out closing the door behind me sighing 'I need to find something for them so they aren't lonely anymore'. I started to walk along side the sidewalk next to the a park I looked over to the park and saw kid's laughing with a few dogs and kittens I smiled as they played with their parents and pets. 'Maybe I could get frisk a pet she always wanted a cat' I nodded to myself and continued to walk trying to find the animal shelter. I soon found it and went towards the entrance I walked inside listening to the bell chime that was attached to the door as I walked in "welcome!" A person behind the counter exclaimed. I then went over to the counter "um excuse me miss could I maybe buy a cat or two you see my child has been feeling lonely and I thought this could cheer her up" I said looking at the human as she nodded then got keys and got out from the counter. "Of course! Follow me" she then went towards a door and unlocked the door she then went through the door as I followed her looking at all of the kittens and cats. Alex ,as she had a name tag on her shirt, stood back letting me choose "just tell me when you choose one okay I'll wait here" I then smiled at her and walked along looking at every single cat and kitten until one caught my eye. A cat that was white but with orange streaks along his body wearing a long scarf and little red boots as the little one was against the cage it's tail swaying considerably fast 'he must really want to be adopted'. I then looked over at the worker "I want to adopt this one miss Alex" Alex then walked over towards me and seen the little one I wanted to adopt "this little guy right here is papyrus but in order to adopt him you have to adopt his brother as well" I then looked in the cage closely and seen another cat sleeping. Papyrus looked to where I was looking and went over meowing loudly and hissing at the other one as he lazily opened his eyes looking at papyrus. "That one is sans papyrus' brother you can't even separate them with how protective sans is over papyrus even if he's lazy" I looked sans up and down and smiled at him. He looked just like papyrus except he was shorter with blue streaks and a blue hoodie he then got up and stretched looking towards me as papyrus dragged him over to me looking proud getting his brother up "oh my it seems they are quite the two aren't they" I said chuckling as Alex nodded "yea they are so do you want to adopt both of them?". Alex turned to me for an answer as I nodded "of course they would certainly bring life into my home along with keeping frisk company" Alex then nodded and grabbed her keys undoing the lock on the cage picking them both up. "Alright let's go to the front and I'll put them in cages you can carry whilst you sign the paperwork I give to you" we then started to walk back out of the room leaving the door opened as she placed them on the counter huffing. "Sans lay off on the hotdogs" I raised an eyebrow at the mention of hotdogs as Alex went to lock the door "hotdogs? But don't cat's eat fish and cat food" I asked confused on why she said hotdogs. "Oh right you see papyrus and sans are special cats sans only likes to eat hotdogs and drink ketchup considering he hates any other type of drink papyrus on the other hand only eats spaghetti and he'll also try to help you in the kitchen as well luckily he doesn't care what drink he has" Alex explained locking the door then going over to the counter grabbing the paperwork. Handing them to me "alright now just sign this paper then your good to go!" She said as she put papyrus and sans in their own cages as I looked over the paperwork and smiled signing the paperwork. I put the paperwork on the counter as she handed me sans and papyrus "alright now that'll be $195" I then got out my wallet and gave her the money she requested "have a good evening Madam". Alex told me as I smiled to her putting my wallet away picking up papyrus' and sans' cages "you have a good evening as well Alex". I then walked out of the animal shelter and start to walk home 'frisk is going to be so happy once she sees these two' I then made it home opening the door placing the two near the entrance closing the door. "Frisk could you please come here my child" I asked as frisk was near the fireplace she then got up and headed towards me and asked what it is I wanted "oh well I just have a little surprise for you dear". I then got the two out of the cage as they went out of the cage papyrus saw frisk and immediately went towards her for affection frisk eyes widened as she picked up papyrus. She then started petting papyrus as sans walked towards frisk and looked her up and down 'oh dear it seems Alexis was right sans is protective of papyrus'. Frisk then looked down to see sans and went over to the couch sitting down as sans followed her keeping a close eye on her frisk then asked me what their names were "oh right I almost forgot well the one that your holding his name is papyrus and the other one watching you is sans there both brothers but sans is protective over papyrus". I explained smiling towards frisk seeing that she was happy she then set papyrus down on the couch and looked towards sans patting the spot next to her. Sans jumped up with difficulty as he laid down frisk gently pet sans head of course he didn't accept it at first but he was too lazy to do anything about it I then went over to my chair and laughed to myself. "Frisk dear what do you call a fake noodle?" My child tilted her head as sans ears perked up and looked over towards me as papyrus narrowed his eye lights towards me "an impasta!" I then laughed more and saw sans giving me a huge grin and purring in delight whilst papyrus hissed at the pun I made. 'It seems sans likes puns but papyrus isn't fond of them' frisk then yawned as I smiled "alright frisk it's bedtime for you" I got off of my chair and frisk got off of the couch as I held my child's hand walking towards her bedroom. I opened the door going inside the room as frisk let go of my hand getting onto the bed putting the blanket on her I smiled and kissed her forehead "goodnight my child sweet dreams". I headed towards her door as papyrus came in going towards frisk and jumping onto the bed laying at her feet 'it seems papyrus has already taken a liking to frisk well he does seem like a nice cat'. Sans then came into the room and laid down on the ground as I chuckled I then turned the light off and kept the door a crack just in case one of them wants to leave 'this is going to be more entertaining with them around' I then headed off to bed myself dreaming of the things to come.

                           -Time skip-

It was more interesting with them two around it's been a month since then and it has been fun I'm taking a walk since I need to think on a few things that has recently happened asgore called me and wanted us to both go on a date but I don't love him anymore so that won't do. I sighed thinking about it but I then heard barking I looked up and saw a large dog stuck to the tree "oh dear! Don't worry I'll get you down!" I yelled towards the dog as it whimpered I then climbed up the tree and grabbed the little one slowly climbing back down. I then looked at the little one as it was a (f/d) "oh you poor thing who would just leave you up there" I then looked at it's collar and saw a name "(Y/n)? Is that your name sweetie?" She barked as if saying yes. There was also a note attached to the collar I then got the note and looked at it reading it 'please give this little one a nice home' I was saddened and horrified by this I then looked at the little one and smiled. "I guess your coming home with me huh missy" (Y/n) howled in glee as I chuckled walking home with her "oh I don't seem to have any dog food for you but it is getting late so hopefully you like hot dogs" I sighed as she tilted her head at me. We then soon made it home as I unlocked the door and saw frisk on the couch playing with the two "my child it seems we have another addition to the family" she looked over at me and gasped silently seeing the dog. I placed (Y/n) down she then went around the couch and looked up at frisk her tail wagging happily but she also saw the two cat's luckily she didn't seem to mind them. Papyrus then jumped down looking at (Y/n) up and down then purred sitting next to her 'of course papyrus would take a liking into her' I looked towards sans as he was eyeing (Y/n). 'Hopefully he'll start to trust her soon' frisk then got on the ground as (Y/n) rushes over to her barking happily and snuggled up into frisk as she silently giggled petting her papyrus rushed over as well as frisk pet then both of them. "Frisk I found this little one in a tree all alone her name is (Y/n) and I've decided that we should take her" I smiled as frisk nodded loving the idea (Y/n) looked over at sans and jumped onto the couch and walked over to sans laying down next to him nuzzling him as sans slightly hissed "it seems that she likes you sans". I smiled as sans meowed in a help me plea but me and frisk just watched smiling "frisk what washes up tiny beaches?" I giggled as both sans and (Y/n) ears perked up as papyrus narrowed his eyes at me frisk then shrugged her shoulders "a microwave!" I laughed as sans purred whilst (Y/n) barked happily as papyrus hissed in disgust. (Y/n) snuggled into sans as he slightly nuzzled her back 'it seems my pun has brought them to becoming friends' I smiled proud that I was able to make them friends.
