Deceiving (Jinkook)

I'm in love

"Jungkookie?" I hear my little brother calling from the front door of our tiny apartment.

"In the kitchen Jimin" I yell back

"What are you still doing here? Shouldn't you be out with Seokjin by now?" He asks as he sits on the stool by the kitchen, we don't have a dining table.

I blush at the mention of my boyfriend. Seokjin is a literal sunshine. With is bright eyes and heart shaped lips. I'm so in love with him.

"He's a bit late. He called the house phone a little while ago said he has a surprise for me" I tell a very exited jimin

"I still can't believe how lucky you are! You found a rich and handsome boyfriend that loves you to the moon and back! It feels like a fairy tale!" He sighs as he looks at me with with a glint in his eyes.

"Seokjin is not rich! He's comfortable, he has a normal job at a company in the city, that's all! He's not rich okay?"

"Fine whatever you say, all I'm saying is he is "comfortable" enough to take care of you and you won't have to work so hard. You know once you marry him you could try to go back to school" jimins joke turns serious rather quickly and I rather not argue with him about money.

Jimin has been dreaming of marrying a rich and famous man who will pull us out of the poverty we've lived in for so many years.

So I change the subject quickly not argue with him about how love should always triumph against money.

"What time did dad come home last night?" I ask jimin

"I'm not sure he came home, when I got up this morning for school he wasn't here."

"You think he's okay?" Jimin asks as I see the worry on his face

"He's an adult jimin, don't worry about him okay? Focus on your studies" I tell my little brother while masking my worried state with a smile.
I know dad is probably out pissed drunk. He always does this. Leaves us alone to fend for ourselves while he gets drunk and disappears for a week. Only coming back to ask me or jimin for money, I know Jimin has given him his allowance a few times. Sometimes I wonder if one day our father isn't going to come back.

"I can't help but worry hyung, he's getting older and I'm part to blame for him being like this" jimin says as he wipes his tears

"Baby this isn't your fault! Okay? Your mom leaving has nothing to do with you!" I tell him while planting kisses on his head.

"Thank you kookie" jimin whispers while wiping the rest of his tears

"What for?" I ask as I stir the vegetables in the pot

"For never leaving me and loving me" he says and sends a heartwarming smile towards me.

"We're family! The soup will be done in a second, you hungry?"

"Very! Will you eat with me or will you wait to eat with Seokjin ?"

"I'll eat with you, if Seokjin wants to eat later then I'll join him too. He's so sweet jimin I'm really in love, he's like a prince such a gentleman"

I grab two bowls fill them up and join jimin on the counter.

"Do you think you'll actually marry him someday Jungkook?"

"I would love to marry him jimin! I just don't think I'm good enough for him, he has such a great future ahead of him"

"Don't put yourself down! I won't let you! You're a beautiful person inside and out and Seokjin would be lucky to have a you as his husband"

"Thank you Minnie you are the best brother I could've ever asked for"

After a few hours there's a knock on my door and I know exactly who it is.

I run to open the door and run straight into my boyfriends arms.

"Hi baby" Seokjin whispers and plants a soft kiss on my cheek

"Hi Seokjin" I smile at him and he holds me tighter as our foreheads meet

"I've missed you so much, could you maybe accompany me for a stroll down the Main Street? Maybe get some ice cream?" He says and leans to leave a sweet peck on my lips and I feel like I'm on cloud 9.

"Of course , let me just grab my keys and say bye to jimin" I tell him and turn towards the bedroom jimin and I share.

"Seokjin is here Minnie, I'll be home as a son as I can okay?" I Pat his head and she shows me his beautiful smile and goes back to his homework.

Seokjin and I walk hand in hand while munching on our ice cream cones. He takes me to the small pond in the park and wraps one arm around my waist.

"I'm sorry it took me longer than usual to come see you baby" he says, his tone is sad

"I understand Seokjin don't worry"

"I love you so much baby, you're so perfect, always so understanding" he leaves soft pecks on my cheek and I can't help but blush

"You're too sweet Seokjin, I'm so lucky to have you"

"No I'm the lucky one and I took longer to come to you this time because I was planning something pretty big" he says as he removes his arm from my waist and throws our ice cream cones in the nearest trash bin

"What is it?" I say , nervousness and worry quickly spreading over me

"This" he says as he plops down on one knee and there's a beautiful simple band with a tiny diamond on it

Tears quickly blurry my vision, I'm speeches and so in love.

"Jungkook, will you marry me?"

"Yes" I let out and he slips the ring on my finger and kisses me softly

The kiss is full of love and this right here will be one of my best memories.

His phone ringing interrupts our sweet moment and he apologizes saying is work and takes the call as I admire my beautiful ring.

After a couple minutes of being on the phone and comes to me plants another kiss on my lips and says he has a work emergency , his boss is in the hospital and i don't hesitate to tell him to go.

" I'll be back in exactly 3 weeks so we can get married. Don't worry about a thing , I'll take care of it all. All you have to do is show up. I can't wait to marry you my love"
