His sadness started the very day Thomas Nook opened up his island to visitors. He was the mayor, he owned every bit of land on the island, it was his own little monopoly. of course this made him wealthy, but was that really enough? Sometimes late at night he'd feel the emptiness deep within his chest. a hole, six feet into the ground where his heart should be.

His azure eyes would gaze outside his window up at the stars, they made him feel more... alive. but on this night, the world seemed to spin for tom. as if everything was falling in place for him. as if the moon shone down on his window for him. this night as he looked up at the mauve nightscape, a shooting star began to descend from the heavens. He frantically began running through all the things he wanted.

money?- no.

fame?- no.

happiness?- maybe.

but one word stuck out like a thorn in a rose.

love?- yes.

He closed his sapphire lids, and whispered to the sky. "please. let me find love."
