Tom took off from town hall, in no particular direction. He wandered around Blathers's museum, the Abel sisters shop, and even Nook's Cranny. There was no sign of the glowing eyes, or even the new villager. Or maybe... the person with the bright eyes was the new villager? Who knows anymore. In defeat he walked up the staircase to watch the sunset among the pine trees, but he suddenly stopped in his tracks. "When was this built?" He circled around a cross shaped statue, made of... dirt? It wasn't even just dirt, it was block-like. The dimensions seemed physically impossible, but yet here it was. He admired it, but then began to feel frightened, an unhinging feeling on his chest. He walked backwards, eyes still locked on the statue, glued with desire, fear, and admiration.

bump

Tom quickly spun around thinking it was a tree. But he was met with the universe itself. The owner of the bright eyes. The very creator of the cross statue. "Hello." he spoke evenly, his voice musky and crisp, like it harnessed the very word 'masculine'. Tom was speechless. The pure heat radiating from his chest towered over the short tanuki. After what felt like eternity, Tom spoke, "H-hi."

"I'm Herobrine." His blocky figure waved down at him. What a bottom he thought. "But my friends call me Brine. If I had friends."

"Ah, nice to meet you. I'm Tom Nook."

"The pleasure is mine." Brine reached out and grabbed his furry paw, before bowing and planting a gentle kiss on it.

startled by Herobine's sudden action, tom nook pulled his paw back but kept his eyes on the other male. he quickly remembered his role and cleared his throat. "i'm also the mayor on this island, are you interested in moving here?" tom nook was finally able to speak with more confidence, as business is his forte. Herobrine decided to go along with this, the though of becoming a resident on this island seemed rather interesting. "of course, why else would i be here?" Herobrine replied almost smugly.. at least that's how it seemed to tom nook. "although there's a slight issue, there are no more available plots. you'll have to wait until someone wants to move out."

"if you really want to live here then i suppose i can ask another villager if they'd be alright if you stayed with them temporarily.. at least until there's a plot available."

Brine smiled, "That would be fantastic."
