"argh, i can't think of anything!" jisung frustratingly roared, ruffling his hair in annoyance after spending half an hour trying to figure out what to write.
he'd been locked up in the room since the early morning, nothing but perfecting the song he'd been working on for weeks consumed his mind. if only there was something to inspire him, he needed motivation and encouragement to keep going.
over the past few days, it'd done nothing but drained his energy as well as lack of sleep. at this rate, he was becoming just like chan, stress and anxiety slowly eating him up as a result; it was safe to say that he needed a break, he needed a distraction.
"jisung? are you okay?" he turned his head towards the owner of the voice as he heard the door open, soon staring at the older who hesitantly walked into the room.
he groaned moments later to which he dropped his head down on the table in defeat, tiredly stretching his arms as he mumbled, loud enough to fill the room. "does it look like i'm okay?"
changbin smiled softly while walking further into the room, taking a moment to look around before his eyes were fully set on the sulking boy before him. "are you having trouble with writing the lyrics?" he then asked after witnessing a bunch of crunched up paper everywhere.
the other looked up at his words, frustration could clearly be seen through his eyes. he groaned once again at the thoughts of it, his head pondering in pain. "hyung, i can't think of anything! i've been stuck since the past 2 days." he whined moments later.
"well, you've been working on the song since last week. maybe you should take a break for once and take things off your mind, don't let the worry take over you like that." changbin reasoned, noticing the stress and disapproval expression.
"but i need to finish this before the deadline! i can't just slack off now!" jisung whined again but this time, a bit louder. his eyes were worriedly shifting around the room with clear desperation showing on his face, his fingers fiddling with each other in distress.
changbin watched every action coming from the younger, making him sigh deeply afterwards. "and your health is more important. look, you've been losing sleep, i can clearly see the eye bags from here. you're slowly becoming like chan and honestly, it frightens me."
"but the lyrics..." jisung reasoned back in dissatisfaction despite not wanting to become like chan. as much as he didn't wanna become like him, he still had a song to complete.
"you can come back to it when you hopefully find some kind of inspiration. just don't worry about the deadline for now and instead, focus on yourself. all of the stress is affecting your mental health and that isn't good." changbin explained, nothing but worry filling his eyes.
jisung sighed heavily before nodding in agreement. changbin was right, it was seriously affecting him so much that he didn't even realise; he was beginning to lose himself at the stress and this wasn't what he'd wanted.
maybe it wouldn't hurt to take a break once in a while, after all, he'd been working non-stop ever since he started producing the song. not only this but he was also starting to eat less, all that filled his mind was to finish the assignment and nothing else.
after soon realising he hadn't taken a rest at all, he eventually dropped his pen on the table as he stood up moments later. "you're right, i need a rest. all of this is making me go crazy."
this made changbin smile wider at his words, relieved that he was listening to him. "yeah you deserve one, you've already worked so hard. just take a walk and get some air, i'm sure you'll find something to help you with the lyrics."
"thanks hyung, what would i do without you?" jisung responded, smiling in relief.
changbin said nothing but beamed at him until it'd filled his face. "honestly nothing." he joked, causing both males to laugh hard at the joke - laughter could only be heard.
"i'll get going then, i'll see you later." he lastly said, giving changbin one last smile before finally walking out of the building. he took a moment to himself as he began walking while eventually inhaling the fresh air around him; changbin was right, he'd never felt so refreshed before.
after finally being out to recollect his senses, he felt as if everything was coming back to him. he needed this so badly after all, up until now, he'd been cooped up inside of the room almost everyday without any breaks. it was driving him mad.
he couldn't help but enjoy the relaxing, tranquil atmosphere around him while continuing to stroll through the streets. this was all he need after a long pattern of days just working, he'd never felt so relieved yet thankful towards the older.
"should i just look around?" jisung mumbled to himself, debating whether he should take the chance to buy something or just wonder around in curiosity.
it didn't take him long when he eventually decided, taking a few moments to look around. as he continued to explore around the shops, he was too lost in thoughts to realise a whole crowd surrounding a certain area in the street.
that was when it caught his attention, making him unknowingly walk over to see what was going on. his mind was then consumed with confusion but curiosity, countless thoughts and questions slowly forming inside his head.
when he was finally stood in front of the crowd after moments of trying to get through a whole group of people, he subtly widened his eyes in shock at the unexpected sight he couldn't believe he was seeing.
an unknown male sitting down as he gripped onto the mic, crowd of people watching while recording on their phones. as soon as the music started, he began filling the whole street with his angelic, sweet voice that blessed everyone's ears.
they were all far too immersed in his singing to realise what was happening. as jisung continued to refill himself with the unfamiliar voice, he was unable to perceive his surroundings around him.
however, despite being lost in thoughts at the sudden stranger's beautiful voice, he couldn't help but feel something special. raising his eyebrows in confusion, his mouth was left in agape, unable to keep his captivated eyes off him.
was he possibly starting to feel something towards the male? a stranger he had never seen or talked to before? was that even possible?
the more he sang with emotions exploding out of him, the more jisung was falling even deeper for him every second. at this point, his heart fluttered rapidly as it pounded so fast; he was struggling to control it.
what was this unknown feeling slowly building up inside him? this foreign emotion he was feeling right now? it was all new to him, even this moment he was effortlessly taking in - it felt so unreal.
it wasn't long until his mind was soon consumed by nothing but only the breathtaking male's voice. he shined so bright that jisung couldn't stop watching him with a thrilled smile.
this fluttering yet exciting feeling he had so many thoughts and questions about.
just what was it?
