Does he even love me?

Is water his only love?

These were the questions that kept roaming around my mind for so long. I am trying to understand his love for water.. but, this is too much for me, as his girlfriend.

I took a deep breath and walked towards the pool. I felt my heart beat faster as I got closer and closer.

Is this the right choice? I asked to myself.

"Haru.." I called out, rather weakly. He stopped relaxing on water and opened his blue-colored orbs to look at me. "Yes?"

It's our monthsary and he's still here, with his precious water..

He got out of the pool and walked towards me, revealing his slightly toned chest. Damn..

I bit my lip a little to avoid fangirling at the sight of my sexy boyfriend. I placed a dry towel on his dripping wet hair, and leaned closer to his face. Our faces got closer and closer, then...

"(f/n)." he called, making me realize how stupid I am trying to kiss him. I blushed slightly in embarrassment and took a step back. "Sorry."

"It's okay.." he reassured as he pat my head gently. I felt my cheeks redden a little to his sudden touch.

"So, why did you want to talk?" he asked as his soft hand left my head.

"O-oh, yeah.."

I cleared my throat and looked directly into his eyes. "Do you still love m-" my question got cut off by his sudden kiss. It took a few seconds for me to melt into the kiss. He broke the kiss and leaned his head back.

"I love water." he stated.

I felt my heart broke into several pieces as a tear formed in my eye. "Oh.."
I forced a fake smile and looked at him. "I knew it.. from the very start, Haru."

"I was just kidding, (f/n)." he stated with an emotionless expression. I blinked and tried to process what he said.

He was just.. kidding?

"Of course, I still love you." he said as his lips curved into a small smile. "M-more than water?.." I asked.

"More than water." he nodded and pulled me to his chest for a hug.

"I still hate you, though.." I mumbled with a slight blush, secretly lying.

"I don't care." he replied as his hug got tighter. "I love you and that's it. Nothing else." he continued. I felt another blood rush on my cheeks to his words.

Who knew this pokerfaced swimmer can be sweet and cute?

"Oh, and happy monthsary" he greeted with a kiss on my forehead. I smiled softly and hugged back. "Yeah..I love you too."
