the drive from toronto to crestmont, california was at least a 40hour drive and all amelia wanted to do was see her brother again.
amelia walked through the door with her suitcases in both hand and headed into the living room, placing herself on the couch.
"how's life with your mum been kiddo" her father said sitting next her.
"yeah it's been good dad but i missed you and scott a lot" amelia replied snuggling into her fathers arms.
it had been at least 3 hours since amelia arrived to crestmont and when she heard the front door opening and the sound of her brothers voice she ran down the stairs and straight into his arms.
"holy fuck i missed you so much" she cried.
"i missed you so much too" he relied with his head rested on her neck.
that night the reeds spent their evening catching up on everything they missed while they were away from each other for 6 months.

the first day of her sophomore year scott had introduced her to everyone, she spent the day getting to know people in her classes and by the end of the day she was sitting on the bleachers watching her brother and his team at practice.
after 2 hours of boredom amelia saw her brother and his team heading over to her and resting their arms on the railing.
"so which is better baseball or hockey?" scott said giving her his million dollar smile.
"well it's a very hard decision but i might just have to say baseball" she replied giving him one of her many winks.
out of the corner of her eyes, amelia could see the one and only montgomery de la cruz staring at her but it wasn't in a creepy way in fact he was looking at her like she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever laid his eyes on.
"like what you see montgomery?" bryce walker said smirking at him.
"fuck off walker" montgomery replied while punching him in the arm.
"hey so i'm gonna go take a shower and then we will head home"
"don't take forever like you usually do scotty bear" she joked as him and his friends were walking off.
"i hate that name lia" he yelled back at her while he was being mocked for the nickname she had given him when they were smaller by his mates.
"you love me though" she shot back at him while heading of to the parking lot to wait by her brothers car.
