Chapter One: Knowing Alex

Hi, my name is Alexandra, Alex for short. I am 17 years old. I have a pretty good life. I have the most greatest best friends, Katie and Jackie. Both of them treat me like a sister and I do the same to both. My Boyfriend, Connor, is the sweetest person I have ever met. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and is so cute and has a wonderful fasion taste. My dad is the president of a popular magazine, you might have heard of it, it is called J-14. You could call me rich, but I don't like using that word. When someone says that all I can think of is that they just think they are better than everyone else. So I guess you can say we have a fair amount of money for someone living in Maine. My mom died when I was 13. It was very hard for my family and I. She was one of my best friends. I could tell her anything. Whether it was about boys, how I feel, or what is going on, she was always there to listen. When she died I got really depressed. I started to self harm. But, lucky for me I had my best friends there to help me through it and I threw out my razors. Well, that's all you really need to know.
