RILEY'S P.O.V
It was already Thursday and up till now, I managed to go without any drama. It was currently lunch and the gang was discussing our plans for the weekend, well except Tyler cuz he doesn't even talk when I'm around. I was daydreaming about Damon Salvatore, (for those who don't know, I'm a hard core fan of The Vampire Diaries) when a light jab in the ribs suddenly got me back to reality.
"Heyy Riley, get down to earth girl!!" Alexis said in a joking tone.
"Anyways, we decided that we'll be going to the beach this Saturday, you in ?" she added
I was about to give a positive response when I remembered my date with Zach.
"Sorry guys, I won't be able to make it, I actually have a date planned for Saturday" I told them
I suddenly heard three shrieks that almost caused me a stroke. I turned to look at Alex, Carol and Savvy who were furious.
"What's wrong guys ?", I asked
" What's wrong is that you have a date and you didn't bother to tell us any sooner" Carol responded angrily
"OK, OK , never mind that, what's the lucky guys name and when did he ask you out ?"
"His name is Zach and he asked me out last Sunday" I replied, nervously
"Ohh, that waiter dude ?" Tyler snickered rudely
"Excuse me, he is very sweet and kind and he makes me laugh, unlike a few people" I said, angry with his remark. We bickered back and forth throughout lunch. The girls asked me, more like demanded me to go shopping with them to buy a cute outfit for Saturday and I recutantly agreed. So I quickly messaged my mum and brother informing them that I would be going to the mall after school and will be late. The flew by and it was finally afternoon. The guys were at the food court at the mall while we kept looking from shop to shop to find the perfect dress.
As we entered a local store a dress suddenly caught my eye. It was a baby pink colour, sleeveless dress with a v shaped neck line which was a bit too revealing for my liking but when the girls saw me checking out the practically forced me to try it on. To be honest, I think the dress suited me and I'm pretty sure the others liked it too since they threw out compliments one after the other as soon as I came out of the changing room. After everything, we paired up the dress with a cute white headband, white pumps which weren't too high and a small mint green purse.At the end though, all the walking around and trying outfits was worth it though since I genuinely had a lot of fun.
Later, we went to the bowling alley for some bowling. Spending so much time with these guys I came to know that Carol was dating Matt, everyone except they themselves shipped Drew and Alex and I also found out that Savvy might have a tweensie little crush on Dylan. While we were at the alley, everyone just assumed I didn't know how to play so I let them believe that. We split up into two teams, Me Drew, Dylan and Carol vs Matt, Alex, Tyler, Savvy and Brittany. Whichever team scored the most strikes had to buy the other team a drink from Starbucks.
It was my turn when Dylan came up to me and said,
"OK listen Riley, its alright if you don't score. Not many people get it on their first try. Just position yourself in this way, swing your hand behind and drop the ball in this manner."
Now I'll show you who the boss is I thought to myself. I caught Tyler smirking a bit while Dylan was teaching me knowing the truth
"Ohh ok. You mean like this right", I said innocently and scored a perfect strike.
I repeated it thrice in a row and turned towards them. Their jaws dropped.
" You have clearly done this before right ?" Matt asked, well more like stated.
"Yepp, I used to come down here every week with one of my friends" I said, glancing slightly towards a smirking Tyler.
The game continued and we eventually won. Well today was pretty perfect, but I said that to soon.
