Jimin was in a hurry. It's Saturday that means he has work. His work wasn't anything professional. It's basically helping people who are in need and Jimin being Jimin, it was needless to say that he loved his part-time job.
He works at a company called Helping Fairy. The first time he heard it he tried so hard to not make it obvious that he's cringing. Thankfully, the company is very open with hiring working students and they can actually choose on what day they'll report.
Jimin's getting paid for 30 dollars per day and he works during weekends, that makes it 60 dollars per week. Hoseok was very against the idea when Jimin asked permission but he can't do anything more than disapproving. The younger cant help but feel useless seeing that he doesn't pay anything for his school because someone's supporting him. And he feels like Hoseok is okay with Jimin leaching off him.
The building is a bit far away from their apartment but Jimin can manage. Once he got there, he greeted the lady at the front desk kindly in which she returned the smile.
"Good morning, Miss Han. What's my schedule today?" Jimin asked politely, he can't really tell if he's in the mood for work today but nonetheless he should.
"Oh, there's five people assigned for you today but one of them said it was an emergency so I suggest you deal with it first. Although they did not mention the details about it." She handed Jimin a paper with five different names and five different addresses.
He took a picture of it and handed it back to Miss Han. "La Grande? That's my apartment building." He frowned at the idea of going back, only if he knew then he would've dealt with it before going to work.
He continued to stare at the address. La Grande, 606. He frowned at that. He hated the last floor that's why he and Hoseok settled in one at the fourth. He always thinks the last floor is too quiet for his liking.
It took a twenty five minute drive by bus and Jimin finds himself inside the elevator on his way. The lift making a noise before opening. The hallway looks emptier than the last time he step foot in here which was when they were deciding which one they'll get. He knew it's just his mind playing tricks with him because come on, no one hangs out in hallways, It's supposed to be empty most of the time.
Finally he's face to face with the door that has 606 on it, it's the third floor to the right from the direction of the elevator. He knocked three times and waited for about half a minute and there's still no feet shuffling to answer the door so he knocked again.
"They still must be sleeping."
"Hello?" He knocked again but a little harder, hoping that someone would open the door. It's 9 in the morning and he still has four other people on the list.
He waited for a minute or two before he finally heard the doorknob clicked and the door stood ajar. Jimin sighed in relief, he opened the door further, expecting to be welcomed by the home owner but to his dismay, there wasn't any one in sight.
Maybe the door was broken. I always doubt the security here.
As guilty as he feels for invading someone's home, he can't just awkwardly stand outside so he sat down on the couch, making sure not to dirty it with his clothes as he looked around. The interior is the same as his but he noticed that this one looked a bit . . . bare. At least Hoseok loved bringing brightly colored paintings to hang on the white walls.
This one just look like something lonely.
He heard one of the doors opening and he immediately stood up, making sure to explain why he got inside and he's here for work. The least thing he wants is to be accused of being a thief.
"Hey, I'm sorry for--" But the guy cut Jimin off before he could explain anything.
"What the fuck? What are you doing here inside?"
Jimin instantly frowned at how the guy was. But he was flustered when he realized that the guy must've taken a shower considering he only has a towel wrapped around his waist and nothing else. His hair still wet and droplets of water trail down his body. Jimin's cheeks flushed even more when he noticed he's shamelessly staring at the half naked stranger's abs.
"No! I'm here for work!" Jimin blurted out before the guy calls the cops on him. But said guy only raised an eyebrow at him and Jimin thought how foolish he must have sound so he continued. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you weren't ready yet and I didn't think it would be too early for you seeing that you told the company it was an emergency."Jimin rammbled.
"Hold up! What work? I don't have any business with you, whoever you are. And how did you even come inside? You an expert with picking locks? Are you some stalker?" The guy gripped tighter at his towel as if he's imagining Jimin would take it off him.
Jimin's eyes went wide. Stalker? He's not a stalker! "Taehyung-ssi--"
Taehyung let out a laugh. "You even know my name, huh? Why are you here honestly? Are you gonna take pictures of me while I'm sleeping then jerk off to it later before you sleep?"
Now Jimin thinks he's stepping over the line. The thought of those things made Jimin wanted to visibly gag at him.
"Excuse me? Why would I jerk off to the thought of you? I don't even like jerking--"
"So you like it from the back?" Taehyung asked with a teasing smirk, he proceeds to eye Jimin up and down and his tongue swiped at his bottom lip.
"Now who's being the pervert one?!" Jimin doesn't know if he's red because he's mad and offended or he's a blushing mess.
He remembered the picture on his phone with the list of names. He took out the phone and shoved it at Taehyung's pretty face. It hit Taehyung's nose which the latter yelled and rubbed the sore spot to soothe the pain.
"But I didn't call. I never did. And I'm not even familiar with your cOmpAnY. Never heard of it."
Taehyung turned away from a fuming Jimin on the way to his kitchen to grab something for breakfast. His day can't get any worse than this, can it?
"Look, I don't think if you understand the situation, Taehyung-ssi. We don't tolerate fraud costumers. If this is a mere prank, I'll politely request that you call the company and rate me five stars for my service."
"Service?! You didn't do any shit?" Taehyung pointed out, grabbing the cereal box on the shelf, he's still in just a towel. He sat down on a chair eating said cereal while facing Jimin.
"Then make me do shit!" Jimin is so close with losing his patience and he thinks he might actually strangle the man to death.
"Then come sit on your throne, princess." He opened his legs a bit before patting his lap with a smirk.
The next thing Taehyung felt was a water bottle hitting him straight on his face and the main door slamming close.
