part thirteen

once you had finished eating breakfast, you quickly packed your backpacks and grabbed your phones and you grabbed the keys. you both said your goodbyes to your parents and then left for school. you two walked since you didn't have a car yet. while you were walking to school, you and kaila talked about random things. but then then topic of jungkook came up....

"i feel like something's up with jungkook" you confessed to kaila, this thought just couldn't get out of your head, "i'm really sure he's fine" kaila explained. "maybe he just wasn't in a good mood yesterday" she said, "hmm" you said still clearly overthinking the situation that happened yesterday. "he was fine for most of the day, then all of a sudden he became all cold and somewhat mean" you said sighing, "i honestly have no idea y/n" kaila said.
you both decided to change the topic since none of you knew what was going on with him.

after about 10 minutes, you two had reached school... and you both sighed, being the hell hole that it was. you walked up to the entrance and through the main doors. you two slowly walked over to the locker halls and opened up your lockers. luckily you were pretty early for school so you decided to just put your bags away and grab your phones and then head to the hangout area. you closed your locker and so did kaila, you were walking towards the hangout area and as you were, you saw jungkook and his friends.

of course being the good friends you and kaila were, you decided to wave at him and say hi. but the response that you received was not one that either of you were expecting. jungkook looked like he was about to say hi, but he then turned over to his friends and laughed "losers" he said then walked off. you and kaila were shocked, "i knew it, i knew he wouldn't change" you spat out furiously, "why though" kaila asked. you were both extremely dumbfounded by his behaviour. "i can't believe i trusted him and gave him a chance to be friends...."

you two sat down at the hangout area. 
"no i'm sure there's a really good explanation for this" kaila said reassuring you, "uhm let me think" she said wondering about reasons as to why he would switch up like that. you sat there, quite hurt but mainly disappointed, "i should never had become friends with him... some people never change" you mumbled in a low voice. kaila didn't hear you as she was too caught up in her thoughts trying to find an excuse as to why he was acting so rude again. "i know... wait, no. no i don't" kaila admitted, "whatever, i'm done with him" you said getting up ready to leave for class as your first period was soon going to commence.

kaila followed behind you in a rush and you were speed walking, clearly upset about this whole situation. "y/n stoppp" kaila said after she finally caught up to you. she was out of breath. "wait- that explains why he was acting so weird yesterday towards the end of the day" you said, "it- it was all an act?" kaila asked saddened and confused, "yea i'm pretty sure it was" you said, proceeding to walk again. the next couple of seconds of your walk together was silent, both of you were trying to comprehend everything.

until, "omg" you blurted out. "what?" kaila asked, "i gave him my number... because of youuuu" you glared at kaila then started to whine. "what if he pranks me or something or leaks my number or-" you got cut off. "stop right there" kaila said. "you're overthinking this, just as you always do" she giggled a bit", "but seriously calm down, if he doesn't want to be friends then that's fine by us, we have to show him that we really couldn't care less. kaila implied, "mhmm" you nodded in agreement.
