This story was written by my friend Allanah. I really like the crazy theme where everything is havoc. It's really good so enjoy.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Once upon a time there was an incredibly normal highschooI, and I, Sydney Black, went to this normal highschool.
In my normal highschool everything was totally normal. Every year on October 17, about 50-90 people get called to the office for some mysterious reason and don't come back until 1 week later. But not me, never me. I was good.
"Hey, Syd!"
I turned to see curly haired Alec Straw running at me with an evil grin on his face. I didn't even put up a fight as Alec shoved me hard to the floor. Alec is just another one of those wannabe jocks, and I'm a nerd, making me easy prey for him. I have plenty of bruises from all the garbage cans, bathroom stalls and lockers he's shoved me into. But it doesn't bother me anymore, I'm used to it. It hardly even hurts anymore.
BBBBRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!
I grab my binders from the ground where I dropped them and rush off to my first class, English.
Halfway through the class the principal's voice came over the loudspeaker:
*Beep* "May Colten, Saleena, Mia and Sam come to the office please, thank you."
"Seriously why can't people control themselves!" I blurted out, referring to my classmates who were called, "Whoops" . I don't usually burst out in class, but something just came over me.
*Beep* "May Sydney Black please come to the office as well please, thank you."
"What?!?!?!" I screech, "The office? I've never been to the office!"
"Sydney," Mrs. Thomson says, smiling down on me in a creepy way, "The office, now!"
"Never!" I yell, "I won't go to the office! Never!" (Okay I'll admit that was kinda over dramatic.)
And I bolt out the classroom.
"SECURITY!" I hear my teacher scream as I run.
Security?!? Since when did we have security? What else is this school hiding, I think as I run down the halls. I look behind me and see three burly men rushing after me! I wasn't all that fast so I had to find some other way to escape. I dash for the elevator and press the button for the top floor.
The elevator doors dinged open and I dashed in. Whew! But then I stepped out and was confronted by the three men, one was incredibly skinny and tall, like a giraffe, another was as big as a buffalo and the middle one was short and had a gorilla face, and they were all way bigger up close. I froze up instantly. Gorilla face grabbed at me. Then my instincts kicked in. I yanked my scrawny arms out of his beefy hands and leaped out the nearest window.
Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!
My instincts suck! Who's instincts make them jump out of a three story building?
Smash!!!
I hit one of the security guys, now in a wing-suit, how did he get there so quickly? The two of us fell like rocks towards the ground, I think we hit three trees before we hit the ground. Then everything was black for a couple seconds.
Ambulances were everywhere.
"What happened?" I asked the nurse next to me.
"This boy's fine, but the other is still out." she called out to someone I couldn't see.
The two remaining men grabbed me and brought me back inside the school. I was never a smart person, so I returned to my instincts. I spat in the guys faces, kicked their shins and sprinted into the cafeteria, reaching for the closest thing to me for protection. They were plates. Oh no! This won't be good, I think as I begin to chuck the plates at the security men.
"Baaagh!" one of the men yells as a plate shatters across his face.
Wow! Who knew I had such good aim? Then I realized I had run out of plates.
"Ack!" What are my instincts gonna do next?
I rushed outside and into the little trail next to our school, only one man was following me now. Suddenly a rock hit me on the head and I tumbled head over heels down the bumpy path, rocks flying, roots snapping and mud squooshing. Suddenly I felt something shake and I heard something crack.
Swoosh, crack, snap, booooom!
An old rotting tree fell to the ground.
"Umph mph!"
I stop rolling down the hill and start climbing back up again. I passed the man who had gotten stuck under the fallen tree.
Yikes.
I hurried back inside the school, man that was tiring!
"Ahhh! There you are, Sydney." Mr. Principal exclaimed as he strolled up to me.
"Hello, Mr. Principal." I stammer.
"You, and a couple other students have done so well with your school work that the staff has decided to give you all a week off from school, I just wish you had come to the office right away, your day off would have begun so much sooner."
Mr. Principal dropped me off at home and I jumped out of the car. I was so exhausted that all I wanted to do was to sleep.
My mom was watching the news in her comfy armchair when I walked in the front door.
"Hey, honey, did you hear about all this? Three men were seriously injured today while chasing some wild little brat from your exact school. Some parents should really learn to discipline their children." My mom said, "Oh, by the way, how was your day, Sydney?"
The end
