So this one is actually mine, I wrote it for a school project but I haven't fully edited it yet. Enjoy.

Caitlyn coughed as she awaited the decision. Her parents were arguing in the other room, fighting over what to do about her newly discovered condition.
"I will not let my beautiful daughter die because we can't afford it!" her mother screamed.
"She will be fine, there's no need to admit her to the hospital, and by no means does she need a transplant."
"The doctor himself said that this could have fatal consequences. I don't care what you say, she's going!"
Caitlyn's mom huffed into the room, her gorgeous locks all a mess. But she softened up when she saw Caitlyn lying dismally on the couch.
"Come on, sweety. We're gonna admit you to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. To the car now, okay?"
She knew there was no arguing with her mother so she struggled to her feet, and stumbled after the frazzled women.
The car ride was torture. Her stomach flipped and she felt like she was gonna throw up once again.
"Can we hurry, mom?"
Her mother simply looked back in sympathy and continued to drive.

Caitlyn was laying down once more, this time in a hospital bed. The room was awfully cramped with only a small drawer for her belongings and a wooden chair pushed into the far corner.
She sighed and pulled out her laptop. She was dreading this moment, hoping she could somehow avoid it, but now it was official. This hospital would be her new home for a total of two months, or until she was ready for the transplant.
She punched in her username and logged onto Writer's World. Pulling up the chat, she began to type her explanation to Amber.
Amber was Caitlyn's best and only friend. They had never met but they might as well have. They knew each other like sisters. The two of them collaborated on stories, writing them together on this young author's website. They had been writing together for five years, ever since they were 11 years old. If there was anyone who would truly understand her, it was Amber.
"Hey." she typed out. Always a great starting line.
Almost immediately Amber replied with, "Hey! Wassup? You haven't spoken to me in a while, everything good?"
"No." Caitlyn felt so bad for burdening her friend with this news.
"Well have some virtual cookies, (::) (::) (::). Better?"
"Listen Amber I have to tell you something, it's important."
-------------------------------
"So let me get this straight. Your stomach... is eating your other organs?"
"Not exactly, more like its leaking acid onto them."
This time Amber didn't reply right away. Instead she sent a message several minutes later.
"I've done it. I booked plane tickets to Las Vegas. I'll be there this evening."
She was what?
"But, you don't have to do that."
"I am, Caitlyn, we have never truly met, this is the perfect opportunity. See you tonight. :)"
