"Talk to me..." Said Finn, looking at his brother, Philip.
But he couldn't. He didn't say a word. He sat on the sand, looking at his dirty hands. Why were they dirty? He didn't touch the sand.
"Stay here with me, Philip. We can live here together."
Finn was hysterical. He knelt down on the cold sand, as he saw his shadow disappear in the darkness."I can't."
"Why can't you?" His voice cracked halfway, as a teardrop rolled down his cheek. He rubbed it away with his arm, since his hands were covered with sand.
Then there was only silence.
-----
Philip knew he was only the reflection of his brother's mind. That can be the only explanation for the happenings.
"Let go..."
But Finn couldn't.
Not that he wasn't able to.
He didn't want to.How would it feel, losing your other half?
-----
Time rewinded, and Finn could see clearly now.
Mother mourning, laid on the table, with her tablets in her hands. The boy, tired from overexhaustion, a job and two part times, no sleep, no money, no life.
Time is running out.
It feels like a dream.
A nightmare.
"Where are you now?"
-----
"Are you okay?" Philip asked his father.
"Surely. I feel more..."
"Relieved?"
A nod was the answer.
"Me too. Maybe she can start over now." Said Philip, when getting on the train."How do you start a whole life over?"
