I remember your warm embrace,
Arms resting on my waist
Hold tightening just a tad
You took a deep intake of breath
The rhythmic sound of your heartbeat
Resonated loud and clear
Followed with a sigh laced with relief
The lightweight of your head
Rested comfortably atop my head
Gentle caresses on the small of my back
Sent tingles all through my head
Warmth lingering a second more
Reluctant to let go
In the clutches of haven
You held me close
In the warm embrace of your enfold
And I,
Was crashing
In the home you held in your arms
I was crashing.
