A/N: I'm so sorry I haven't updated in forever. I suck I know. So I'm gonna write in third person for this part.

Thorn turned the corner and walked up the stairs. Why was he so torn when I mentioned the shirt? It was probably related to that nasty scar on his chest. He thought to himself. Thorn shook his head sharply, right now all he needed to do was get Payne a new shirt. Opening the first door on his right Thorn entered his room, looking around he sighed. "Fuck, it's filthy in here. " he whispered under his breath. Tip toeing around the random crap on the floor Thorn made his way to his closet. Payne is kinda tiny, I don't have one thing that will fit him. Meh oh well.

Meanwhile downstairs Payne was sitting there pondering. Why is he being so nice to me? He doesn't even know me. Payne laid back down, he decided it was nice for a change. He had become very accustomed to being ignored, just blending into the background to avoid contact. He heard footsteps, opening his eyes he came face to face with Thorn crouched beside him. "Oh umm, here." Handing a black shirt to Payne, Thorn straightened himself up. "The bathroom is just down that hallway, it'll be the second door on your right. " Payne slowly stood up, his vision blurred for a second. He swayed, only to feel a warm hand brace his back. Quickly Payne stepped forward, looking at his feet in manged a nervous "thank you" and walked away. Leaving Thorn to his own thoughts.

Poor thing. Thorn plopped himself down on the the couch and sighed. I should drive him home. Thorn heard the bathroom door open and footsteps approaching. " hey kiddo how ya feeling?" Thorn asked smiling at the younger teen. Payne blushed  slightly, "Better than I was. Thank you so much for everything." Payne blushed one shade darker as Thorn let out a chuckle. "Anytime. So you should be going home now eh? Your parents must be worried." Picking a spot on the floor to stare at Payne said in a small voice "My parents are gone, I live with my older brother now." Before Thorn knew what he was doing he got up and wrapped his arms around Payne's small frame. "I am so sorry." Payne shook his head , "it's ok. You didn't know." Nodding Thorn finally let go and backed up a little, "let's get you home shall we?" They started toward the front door before Payne stopped. His inky black hair swaying just for a moment from the promised movement that had never come. "Y-your shirt..." Thorn's eye's softened, "keep it. It looks good on you." Payne nodded to embarrassed to say anything. Together the two boys walked out of the house. Payne turned his head to the left and his eye's widened just a little. "Uh Thorn," "yea?" Payne turned to face him and pointed to the left. "That's my house."
