Aaron watched as Charlie drove into Louisiana. It was getting dark and he could tell she was getting a bit tired.

"Do you want me to take over?"

"I'm fine. We have two hours left. We'll check into a hotel, you can call your team, and then we are walking straight to bourbon street where I am going to buy you some drinks," she replied.

"I take it you already have a hotel in mind."

She nodded, "I make this trip every season. I have a few favorites. Mmm but we are definitely having some dinner before we hit the bars."

"Gas station junk food is not dinner," Aaron agreed.

"Road trips are an excuse to be unhealthy. At least that's what my dad tells me. But now that you mention it I am getting hungry."

"You have my permission to speed," Aaron muttered.

"I'm sorry what was that Mr. Speed Limit?" Charlie had a Cheshire grin on her face.

"I'm gonna regret this aren't I," he groaned.

"Not at all. There is a limit to how fast these cars can go. The road from here on is pretty straight so I could get some good speed."

"Go right ahead. I'll just take the opportunity to blast AC/DC," He sarcastically remarked.

Charlie immediately stepped on the gas as she increased speed. He could tell that it had heightened her senses as she seemed more focused. Aaron took it upon himself to look out for cops. Luckily they didn't run into any and made it to New Orleans at a fairly decent time.

Charlie grinned as she parked in the hotel parking lot. She got off and grabbed her duffle bag. "Feel free to call your team while I check us in."

Aaron nodded. "I'll call them from the lobby. What's the rooming situation?"

"Well I believe Enzo booked my room for tonight. Usually I do it but this time he decided to go ahead and reserve my room."

"If it's a one bed room I'm taking the couch," Aaron stated before calling his team.

Charlie went ahead and headed to reception. "Good evening."

"Good evening ma'am, we've been expecting you," the receptionist said.

"Am I really that predictable?" Charlie let out a soft chuckle.

"You are a loyal patron. Mr. Barton booked your usual. Would you like to pay up front or at check out?"

"I'll pay now. I'll only be here for two nights."

"Wonderful. Here is your room key and enjoy your stay."

Charlie walked up to Aaron who was still on the phone and gestured for him to follow her. Surely enough it was just as Aaron had predicted. There was one Queen sized bed and a small living room area with a tiny kitchen. Charlie went ahead and put her duffle bag on the desk before heading to the bathroom to fix her hair.
