For a moment the world was a blur of dull colors.
But now in this cold hollow cube of concrete, she couldn't look away from the truth that sounded in her head with every breath.
She'd almost believed it. That she is strong, that there isn't anything left for her to lose, that there isn't anything left of her to break. But it hadn't been long since she considered that thought when fate came swooping in having a good laugh straight to her face—for thinking she could ever be strong. That she had a purpose.
Weak. Weak. Weak.
The words danced around her until she herself sang the words in her head.
Her cell was cold and dark, only one way in and no window for any source of light to go through. Her chains rattled at the slightest movement she made, making it the only sound that would snap her out to reality. The reality she did not want to live in anymore. Despair crept over her but she had no more tears to shed.
She is no longer a queen.
She is nothing but a prisoner.
She'd lost everything.
Lisa was staring blankly ahead as if the events that took place hours ago is playing before her eyes, over and over until it is the only thing she sees beyond her eyes.

Hours ago.
The fight halted just as quickly as the darkness came and went. The envoy and the soldiers immediately fell back from the fight and dropped to their knee, wilting upon their king's entry.
The usurpers gaze lined up with Lisa's and as their gaze locked, for a split moment, she couldn't help but think there was something familiar with him that she couldn't quite point a finger on.
There was no life behind those odd purple eyes. His gaze was uncomfortable and could make anyone wilt in fear under his stare—hence why his followers are on their knee. Because in his eyes alone, anyone could tell he's powerful.
"Hello luv."
It was the very first words the usurper king had said since he arrived—quite grandly. Every word and move he made betrayed him for none of it were noble. He looked as if this whole chaos was such an inconvenience for him.
He broke eye contact and looked around the entire room as if inspecting every bit of detail in it.
"This room isn't of my taste. It's far too...out dated and bright." his voice was velvety and laced with boredom.
