Chapter 10

Kageyama POV 

The morning after me and Hinata mated I woke up feeling weirdly energetic and refreshed. I woke up earlier than usual so I decided to go to the store and pick up some stuff for Hinata.

As I'm getting ready to go to morning practice I look over to Hinata and how he's curled up in a ball hugging on one of my pillows. He's lightly flushed, his muscles relaxing whenever he nuzzles further into the pillow.

He really is a sight for sore eyes. 

I decide to leave him here since he's still in heat and it wouldn't be a good idea to let him out in the open like that. I just hope he stays here until I get back. I write him a note and I'm out the door. 

I wish I spent the day with him, but I didn't want to raise any suspicions with the both of us absent after that big scene after practice. I just hope the things I left him were helpful.

Sugawara-san has been shooting death glares at me any time he enters my line of sight and I can't help but get nervous. I know he and Hinata have grown closer lately but I don't know what kind of relationship they have. 

The idea of them being anything more than friends pisses me off now that we've mated. 

The school day is coming to an end and for once the idea of ditching practice crosses my mind. 

Aghhhh what is that tangerine doing to me! Not once have I EVER thought of wanting to skip practice.

I quickly shake the thought out and make my way to the club room to change into my gym clothes.

As I approached the door I was able to make out a conversation happening inside between some of the guys.

"Hey did you know Hinata was an omega? Agh I feel so guilty reacting to his scent the way I did!" Asahi lamented. 

"I would've never guessed it but it's a little upsetting Shoyo didn't trust us enough to let us know. I mean I'd kick anyone's ass to keep him safe if he'd unexpectedly went into heat." Noya declared, punching the air. 

I slowly went inside and found an open spot for me to place my stuff while I changed.

As I'm changing I feel like I'm being stared at, my heart beat seemingly getting louder as I feel threatened by the atmosphere. I awkwardly glimpse around in an attempt to catch who's staring at me and it's ... everyone. 

"Uh-what's wrong why are you all staring at me like that?" I awkwardly blurt out.

"Dude where you attacked or something? What's wrong with your back?" Tanka asked as he points at me. 

"Those scratches look pretty deep king ," Tsukishima retorted, "and what a coincidence you have these the day after you ran off after Hinata went into heat. Did you jump him when he rejected your advances?"

"Now that I think about it Hinata didn't come to school today..." Noya said, suspicion in his voice.

Almost like a chain reaction, suspicion grew onto everyone. Animosity filling the air as everyone seemingly thinks I hurt Hinata while he was in his most vulnerable state. 

My silence isn't helping my case, the fact that I haven't debunked any of their accusations is only making the tension grow. 

"Tsukishima I wouldn't be talking you were in the worst state when you caught Hinata's scent," Daichi said in an attempt to lighten the load off me, "besides Kageyama wouldn't do anything Hinata didn't want to do. Am I right Kageyama?"
