Haven stood on the edge of the cliff.
She stared down at the hundreds of meters below her, feeling nervous. Her instructor nodded and checked once again her wings.
"Do it now, Haven," he said.
Haven jumped of the side of the cliff, feeling her wings beginning to work. She flapped them up and down, up and down, and she could hear her instructor's cheers behind her. She flew in the chair like a bird. She felt absolutely ecstatic. The people below gaped. Someone screamed, but Haven was happy.
Suddenly she saw a bird flying by. She panicked and the bird did, too, and in one second they clashed together. The poor bird was injured and tried to get itself safely to the ground but Haven's wings were badly broken. She yelled and catapulted to the ground. She saw people holding up a mattress in the place she would fall. Haven panicked and then blacked out as she hit it.
