Kanaya's P.O.V.

I hummed a soft tune for my next song while sewing the hems of my new dress. Eventually I started to sing the lyrics softly.

"He just walked away
Why didn't he tell me?
And where do I go tonight?
This isn't happening to me..
This can't be happening to me..
He didn't say a word,
Just walked away!"

I took a small breath before singing with all of my might. This song was for an ex of mine, who I loved dearly.

"You were the first to say,
That we were not okay!
You were the first to lie,
When we were not alright!
This was my first love!!
He was the first to go!
And when he left me for you,
I was the last to know..

Why didn't he tell me
Where to go tonight?
He didn't say word.
He just walked away!

You were the first to say,
That we were not okay!
You were the first to lie,
When we were not alright!
This was my first love!
He was the first to go!
And when he left me for you,
I was the last to know.."

I looked down for about 30 seconds, feeling bottled up emotions before singing out loud again.

"I'll be the first to say,
That now I'm okay!
And for the first time,
I've opened up my eyes!
This was my worst love!
You'll be the first to go!
And when he leaves you for dead,
You'll be the last to know!

I'll be the first to say,
That now I'm okay!
And for the first time,
I've opened up my eyes!
This was my worst love!
You'll be the first to go!
And when he leaves you for dead,
You'll be the last to know..."

Soon afterwards, my mother walked into my new room and smiled. I knew that she was eavesdropping, she does it all the time whenever I sing to myself. Plus, she isn't very well at keeping a 'low profile'.

"Ugh..Mooommmm." I pouted.

"Oh hush, you know I can't resist the power of your voice!" My mother protested.

"Well, I have to go to bed now. I start school in the morning." I got up and kicked my mother out of the room.

Time Lapse

I woke up at 5:30am. I did my usual morning routine which was getting up, taking a shower, getting dressed, doing my make up, polishing my horns, brushing my teeth, and having breakfast. I waited in the car for my mother. Gog she takes forever in the mornings.

"I'm coming!" My mother came running out the house to the car while having trouble putting on her high heels in the process.

"Well hurry up, I'm already an hour late!" I groaned. This new 'normal' lifestyle isn't me. I'm used to living in Trollwood, where everything was filled with celebrities and musicians, including my band and I.

Soon, we arrived. Oh Gog...
