It was one gloomy day, yesterday was actually a bright one. I am not sure why it happened to be raining today. The kids are inside the castle, doing some arts and crafts while sipping tea. Elton taught them how to drink tea properly. He's teaching them basic royal etiquette.

The sky was so dark, it was like the Highest is angry or something. Instead of isolating myself inside our room. I went out to see my children.

I was surprised to see them at the throne room. Elton was teaching them proper standing, their posture, how they sit on the chair and also walking towards the throne chair.

"Fix your posture, Cadmael." Elton said with a firm tone.

Cadmael and Divine are already teens. As they were growing up, their features that they got from their father got more obvious. Especially, Cadmael who is a copycat of Elton.

I laughed quietly while Cadmael was trying to complain but Elton was trying to be strong not to soften his heart towards his son. Elton had always a soft heart towards his our kids.

Whenever they whine about some little thing, Elton would immediately give them what they want. I don't like spoiling the both of them, but Elton is breaking my rules.

"Father, I have baking session later. Will I get there on time?" Divine asked while watching her brother.

Divine grew fond on baking. She's still a feisty girl who loves gemstones around her neck rather than wearing pearls. She learned archery and sword quickly than me and Elton expected. Her horse riding also improved, she does not need her father to help her sit on the back of the horse.

Cadmael on the other hand, excelled on fist fights. One on one combat, self defense, and he's starting to learn about swords too.

"Of course, sweetheart. I'll make sure you get there on time." Elton answered.

Cadmael turned around and his eyes widened when he saw me standing behind their father on the stairs.

"Mother!" He called.

Divine and Elton looked at my direction. Cadmael hurriedly walked towards me and helped me get down on the stairs carefully.

"Thank you, sweetheart." I whispered.

He kissed the back of my hand as a reply. Elton wrapped an arm around my waist and kissed the side of my head. Cadmael went back on practicing his posture. When he already got it, Divine did the same thing but more feminine as what Elton said.

"How is your head now, darling?" Elton asked when it is only the two of us in the throne room.

The kids already went to their next agenda.

I pursed my lips. "I think it's getting worst each day."

I'm terrified. I don't want to leave my family too soon. My kids are still young, they haven't perfected their posture yet. They still have a long way before they get coronated.

Elton pulled me into a tight embrace and there my tears bursted.

"We will find a way to cure your headache, darling." He whispered.

We reached out to the royal doctor the first time I experienced this kind of pain. But he cannot see any reason why I am feeling those things. He limited my works here around the castle, means I cannot work as much as I do before. He also gave me an advice to always breathe fresh air. It helps soothe down anything that I am feeling.

Elton is afraid to reach out to any sorcerer in our kingdom. He's afraid that something might happen to me, like a foul play or something.

"Don't worry, hubby. I'll make sure to be okay." I whispered when I pulled out from the hug.

He leaned over to share a passionate kiss with me.

"I will also make sure that you'll be alright, darling. I cannot lose you, not now, darling." He whispered in between our kisses.

But as soon as the night came, my headache gone worst. Elton was already panicking and my head was throbbing in pain. Cadmael and Divine stormed inside our bedroom just to check if I am okay.

"Mother!" Cadmael called.

"Mother! Please just calm down!" Divine sobbed as she caressed my hair.

They were already sobbing and I was suffering in pain. Elton suddenly appeared in front of me. His eyes were red and his face was so wet because of his crying.

"Darling, I already called the royal doctor. He said he'll come it very quickly, so please hand on just a little while." He sobbed while holding my hand.

Everyone inside the castle were already shouting, running, and panicking. Everything was in chaos inside the castle. I was already crying in pain, I just want to take any thing inside my head just to stop it aching.

"Prepare any tea!" Cadmael shouted.

"Mother please just hang on for a little while," Divine sobbed.

And just suddenly, a feeling of tiredness hit me directly on my nerves. My eyes felt so tired of crying. My eyelids were getting heavier each time I blink my eyes. The sound inside the room suddenly disappeared, I feel like I gone deaf.

I was breathing heavily and that is what I can hear. Elton was crying in front of me, my kids who are begging everyone inside the castle just to help me. Memories of pain and joy rushed inside my mind just like a movie.

The first time I held my babies, the day they finally got to walk on their own, the time when Elton and I got married. Even the times when my children stumbled and fell when they were trying to walk. Those memories came by.

I closed my eyes. I can no longer hear anything. I can only feel my back lying on a soft mattress, there was no one holding my hand. No one caressing my head and tucking my hair behind my ear.

It was already gone, but then I opened my eyes again. A light was blocking my vision that made me blink twice. Slowly, the blurred vision of mine got clear. A familiar face appeared in front of me. The one that I cherish the most.

"Mom.."
