Ch: 6 Lost yet Together

 The forest they were crossing was dense, somewhere Naira's heart was thumping loudly, she was scared, yes she was and she accepted this to herself but still manage to behave straight, she don't want to give slightest hint to Kartik that she's scared, if he would have been a friend she could even thought about that but he is a rival and one should not show his.her weak points to their rival. Boosting herself she moved forward or should say following Kartik.

Kartik was walking a bit ahead, it was a dense forest and he want to look for a shelter before it gets dark, he was pissed off as Naira was slow in coming he turned to call her but stopped in middle, seeing her fear stricken face which she was trying hard not to show left him all silent. He was just staring her, always fearless seem Naira was seeing a bit scared, it took him a bit realize since the situation is like this it is obvious for her to be scared, moreover he is not her friend who would synthesise her, he is her rival and with but natural reason she would never show her fear to him. Trying to give her some comfort he walked up to her and said ,"OOO Madam Jhansi ki Rani... thode tez chalogi..maharani k liye koi doli nahi aane wali...". Naira retorted back to him," Haan Haan chall rahi hoon... ek to bhooke pyase ghumo upar se tumhari chik chik..". Saying she moved a bit fast with him. Kartik smiled internally at least he was successful in diverting her attention. She moved ahead to him a lot saying," Dekhna mein tumse pehle raasta dhoondh lungi.. You Mendaaaaaaakkkkkkk", Kartik looked up immediately seeing her falling and slipping down to a cliff.

He ran back to her calling her," Naira...!!!!" he too slide himself, but cautious enough not to fell like her. He soon reached towards her seeing her dump in the pool of mud. Instead of helping her he started laughing. Naira was so agitated," You Mendak.. Meri help kerne ki jagah tum mazak bana rahe ho mera..."

Kartik held his stomach and said," I am sorry.. But kya karoon.. Tumhari khud ki halat dekhi hai..." saying he started again, when suddenly Naira started feeling something, "Kartik.... Tum ye uper kyu hote jaa rahe...."

Kartik stopped laughing and looked at her and realized what she is saying, he glanced his surroundings and it dawned to him, he screamed," OOH.. mein uper nahi tum neeche jaa rahi hoo, its a mud lagoon Naira..."

She panicked, her body was slowly going down," Kartik.. Please kuch karo...". Kartik calmed himself and instructed her," Mujh per bharosa kerti ho..."

"What.. is this a point of asking such question when I am sinking..", She furiated at him.

He still maintaining his posture asked her," bharosa kerti ho..."

She just nodded her head and he continued, wiping sweat from his forehead," Okay, so do as I instructed, lay your back on the mud just like we swim and give the backstroke.. Slowly.. Very slowly..." She did as he instructed and slowly she started coming out, but not full when kartik called her," Naira.. Hold this..." he threw a branch to her, she held it firmly and he dragged her.

Here in the cruise both Goenka and Singhania families were tense so there was no news of Kartik and Naira. They reached upto reception and enquired about their children.

Mr.Singhania: Sir Please help us.. I am not able to find my daughter, she was with us when we stepped down on the last island but after the ship departed from there we weren't able to find her... Please look out.

Same time Goenka's family too arrived there seeing Mr Singhania and family at reception that too all tensed Mr.Goenka reached to him and put his hand on his shoulder and asked,"Mr. Singhania..what happened.. you are looking all tense..".
