~Chapter One~

Ever since Lance was born, he had some mental problems. I mean, to be honest doesn't everone? Well that's besides the point. You may be wondering,

"What is wrong with Lance?"

                    Or,

"Does he get better?"

And I have answers for both, so heres whats going on with Lance McLane.

Ever since he was a little boy, hes always had family around him to comfort him. Always. But that changed when he was 8 years old. Yeah, pretty young right? Also wrong. He was and is pretty emotionally strong, so hes known how to keep himself alright. What happened to his family on the other hand is a pretty rough story...

His family have always been troopers. A great family. They always got along, where always looking out for eachother,  and most importantly, loved each other very much. But one dark, cold night, Lance was sound asleep when he heard gunshots. 5 gunshots all at once. He jolted awake thinking,

    its just a nightmare...

But boy was he wrong.. He ran downstairs still half asleep, leaning on walls to keep his balance, then he walked into his parents room crying scared that his worst fear is coming true. He opened the door slowly and he sees his mom and dad resting in bed, and sees what appears to be blood. Lance slowly walks to the king sized cozy bed, and gently shakes his mother on the shoulder.

    cold. still. hurt. blood.

                Gone...

Lance at this point knows whats going on, so he runs out of his parents room, and runs into the living room to see if it was true.

"Guys...please be okay…"

Ever since then, he has been living with his aunt and a while later was able to go to school at the garison. Then, as you all know, he became the Blue Paladin of Voltron to save the universe.

Keith on the other hand, had it a little easier. Sure, he had a loving family and all, but there parents always fought.

               Always.

But one night in the winter when Keith was 10, his dad got in a car accident and sadly passed away that night.. That left him alone with his mother. She was heartbroken. She turned on Keith, and that led him in the future, going to school the garsion. And that's where Lance and Keith's friend ship began. They always kinda needed eachother In a way. There alike in many ways. Losing there everything..

           There family..

But of course they didn't tell eachother everything, be because it would make  it weird. To be honest, they have a love hate friendship. I mean, there rivals, teammates, friends. But most of all, soulmates..

They always tease eachother by making nicknames for eachother. Keith calls Lance sharpshooter or idoit most of the time, and Lance calls Keith mullet head. They just don't know how to express there feelings for each other that well.

Keith just never learned how, and never really got that kind of love..

Lance is scared. Scared out of his mind. And he cant really tell behind Keith's poker face. I mean, who would mess with the badass loner, the emo, the hot stuff, and the best friend he's ever had..

Right now they are paladins of Voltron, as the Red and Blue lion.

There lions kind of express them in a way. Think about it.

Keith's the red lions pilot. Red has a fire, mean, and badaas side to her. But once you get to be around red, you realize she's really sweet. You just have to give her time and have to earn her trust to be someone that she knows and love.

Lance is the Blue lions pilot. You can become blues friend quickly, but if you betray that trust and friendship, then her heart is ice cold.

No one's point of view: Right now is just a normal day for the Voltron team. Everyone minding there own bussness, traning, interacting with one another, and just being themselves. Everyone but Lance.

Lance as you all know, is the funny, flirty type person in the group. But behind it all he's broken. And he is just focused on making sure everyone is happy and forgetting about one person. Himself. And that's what he struggles with sometimes, is he can't realize he's important too.. sometimes he thinks of himself as a random star out of the million other planets and solar systems.

And Keith always has a 24/7 poker face. Always! It's never broken, or been seen through. Ever! The only person who can, is Lance...

Lance's point of view: I was just in my room, when Shiro yelled for everyone to come down to eat dinner.

       Ughh why now??

I was in the middle of drawing blue!! Like, come on man! So if course I listened to him, still being quite annoyed. As I sit next to Keith because where forced to, he seems a little sad. I don't know why, but all day, he's been really shy and quiet. I'm gonna find out.

"Hey what's going on mullet head?"

Silence. Silence filled the air but then there was a shatter. He had broken a plate. A glass plate. He stood up and started yelling at me.

"LANCE SINCE WHEN DO YOU CARE!?! ITS JUST A BAD DAY TODAY, LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY GOD DAMN IT!!! AND ITS NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS ANYWAY!! SO JUST FUCK OFF YOU IDIOT!!"

I have had enough. I'm always trying to make him feel safe, and at least somewhat loved, but then he snaps like always..

"YOU WANNA KNOW WHY I CARE!?!? BECAUSE I SOMEWHAT CARE ABOUT YOU OKAY???"

"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH!! MY FATHER DIED WHEN I WAS 10!!"

"TRY HAVING YOUR WHOLE FAMILY SHOT WHILE YOUR ASLEEP, AND TWO YEARS YOUNGER THEN THAT BEING CLUELESS?!??"

Now it was silent. I could tell Keith felt bad that he snapped after I said that because his eyes widened and he started to tear up by the fact of making fun of me for that. I, at this point, already started crying.

"Lance I'm so sorr-"

"Yeah O-okay sure w-whatever.. you a-always snap an-anyways so..."

I looked him dead in the eyes clearly upset and I walk to my room holding back a mental breakdown.

Keith Kogane, why do I like you..?
