A war between a caretaker and the child he took care of is the most painful sight; like England and America.

Arthur knelt down and covered his face. "You know I can't do it, git" he said, holding tears back in. Alfred looked down at him, a frown forming on his face. "You were so big back then..."

"Brother!" A familiar female voice was heard behind Alfred; Alice Kirkland. "Alfred!" Amelia called from behind Arthur.

The two women's running foot steps splashed the muddy ground causing the edges of their dresses to get dirty but they didn't mind.

Alice and Amelia ran passed each other ; Alice covering her brother with an umbrella and Amelia burried her face on Alfred's chest, crying.

It's a snowy but beautiful night. Amelia is wearing pants instead of a skirt though she still had her leathered jacket on. Her wore white gloves and a scarf around her neck. She looked up at the star of the Christmas tree and adored the colorful lights that coated it. She put her two hands together and sighed, causing a small fog to go out of her mouth. Thinking it was getting to cold; Amelia decided to go back home.

Her way back home is rather lonely; the street was empty and dim post lights only lit up her way.  She breathed out small fogs and memories of the American Revolutionary War started to return.

"I don't think I could ever face you again..." Alice's words rang in her head. "It was fun goofing with you though" Amelia said. Alice told her servant to hold the umbrella and she ran to give Amelia a last, temporary hug. "Take care little sister," a tear went down Alice's face but she was thankful that the rain could hide it. Amelia hugged her big sister back and each side's army started to go back.

Amelia placed both her hands in her pockets, her nose and cheeks red from the cold. She stopped in her tracks as she felt a cold substance land on her nose and melted into water. She looked up and smiled as she noticed that snow has started to fall.

"Amelia?" A voice said. Amelia was familiar with the voice; a girl who she hasn't seen for over a lot of decades. Her smile deteriorated and faced Alice Kirkland. She was still wearing her usual blue dress with a white apron. She had long twin-tails, a cream-clored scarf around her neck, gloves and ear-muffs to keep her warm but not warm enough to prevent her face from being red from the cold.

"Alice." Amelia nodded to her. They stared each other for a few while waiting for someone to move. "Well, I'll be on my way. If you'll excuse—Ah!" Alice gasped; she was suddenly hugged by Amelia.

Alice wasn't sure if what she felt was snowflakes melting on her sleeves or tears of the woman who she once considered as a 'sister'.

"I missed...you...so much!" Amelia exclaimed, sobbing. Alice wasn't sure if it would be alright to hug her or leave her hanging but since it's Christmas, she doesn't see any reason why not to hug.

"You've grown, Amelia" Alice smiled, stroking the American's hair; her voice soft and mature. Amelia wasn't able to speak, she just stayed in the hug sobbing and sobbing, savoring the warm hands of the person she used to consider as a 'big sister'.

"Maybe it won't hurt to be like our brothers in the present?" Alice asked. "We could goof-off a lot, you scolding me while Francine joins in our fight! I wouldn't care! I want to go back!" Amelia cried. Alice just smiled and let her once sister stay in her arms.
