A Chance at Freedom, a Chance to Shine

(Third POV)

Tomura Shigaraki, a villain with a quirk that can literally turn you into dust, is looking for able-bodied villains and unsuspecting kids with powerful quirks to join his group called, the League of Villains. He would buy children off, and recruit other villains to his cause, but he had a slight problem in gathering people to his cause.

Y/N: "You'll never take me alive you hand-fetish idiot! Hahahaha!" 

The monkey boy himself, Y/N was bought from the orphanage and was currently fighting off the people who were trying to hold him down, and he was gaining the upper hand in the matter. With every push and throw he exerted, he managed to break free from his captors and start running into the alleyways and streets to lose them. Lucky for him, he shook them off of his tail and sat down, leaning his back on a wall to rest up.

Y/N: "Well...this sucks more than being in the orphanage. I guess I can't go back there, now that they sold me off to villains. I'm gonna have to find a way to live off of this situation..."

Just then, a feminine scream could be heard just a few meters away from where he was at the moment. Acting out of instinct, he broke into a sprint, to be met with a lowly thug, holding a young adult female at gunpoint.

Thug: "I said, give me your money and phone! NOW!"

Woman: "I told you already! I need the money for my son's medicine, please!"

Thug: "Then I'll just have to take it another way!"

Before the thug could fire the round off, Y/N immediately whistled to catch their attention, and it did without a problem.

Y/N: "You know, hurting a defenseless woman such as her? That's lower than the poorest man on earth, hell I bet you're overcompensating for something down in your pants if you're planning to shoot her with that THING."

Thug: "Beat it, kid! This has nothing to do with you!"

Y/N: "Well...if cornering a woman in an alleyway and planning to shoot her has nothing to do with me, then I would say that you're dumber than even the dumbest animal."

He then pulls something out from behind his ear, a staff of sorts, as it started to grow larger until it was taller than him by a few feet. He rests the staff on his right shoulder as he walks closer to the thug, but he just pointed the gun at the monkey boy, making him stop in his tracks.

Thug: "One more step, and you'll eat lead!"

It didn't even seem to startle or intimidate the staff-wielding boy, but it only made him yawn in boredom, irking the thug ever so slightly.

Y/N: "Really, with that thing? I'd be surprised if it can even scratch me, so what are you waiting for? Shoot me if you're so confident in your words."

And with no hesitation, a shot rung out, and the scream of the woman followed shortly after. However, the thug only widened his eyes in shock, as the bullet had not only stopped as it made contact with Y/N's forehead, but it also bent the bullet as if it was fired at something made of metal. The flattened bullet dropped to Y/N's feet, leaving the thug to feel a sense of fear before, without a second thought, dropping the gun to the ground and sprinting out of the alleyway. Dumbfounded by that, Y/N sighed as he made his way to the woman who was on the ground, sobbing profusely as she clutched her bag.

Y/N: "You okay there, miss? Did he hurt you badly?"

The woman looked up at the young monkey boy before shaking her head, signalling him that she was fine.

Y/N: "That's good to hear, sadly I don't know where the nearest police station is, but I can escort you to a near pharmacy for your son's medicine."
